C2C Country To Country Berlin – Day 2 (07.03.2020) – The Side Stages

After the the first side stage acts on Day 1 of the C2C Country To Country 2020 in Berlin, Day 2 started earlier and thus had more slots – more acts to be explored also felt like a possibly great day!

C2C Berlin 2020 – Day 2 – Side Stages Lineup

The Saturday side stages started with Van de Forst’s C2C debut on the Townsquare Stage truck (see my recent interview with her). There were a couple of interesting acts, like Kassi Ashton, Caylee Hammack or Tenille Arts.

 

C2C Berlin 2020 – Day 2 – Afternoon Side Stage Shows

At noon, German local Van De Forst opened the day for the people on Mercedes Platz. She had a tough time there, especially as the weather was not too heartwarming and people typically did not stayed around the open air stage.

After Van De Forst’s show, I watched my dear Twinnie on Pindeck Stage. Even though the Brit was not that fit in the early stage hours, she showed a very intense and good performance.

A lot of venue changing to me. The next band I saw was Seaforth, who performend on the Rooftop Stage in the 240° Rooftop Bar. The venue was packed – well deserved, as the performance of the male duo was really strong.

I stayed in that highest stage of the festival and waited for the lovely Tenille Arts, one of my absolute favorites. I just love to listen to her songs – very good set.

The Alex Stage in the same called restaurant is a lovely venue for the festival visitors, as you can sit, enjoy music and eat and drink in parallel. Jake Morrell was not that well-known to the German country fans before, but they liked his straight and energetic performance.

Finally, I saw Kassi Ashton as the last act before the festival moved inside Verti Music Arena. Just sitting on a barstool performing her songs, Ashton was already that present to the people, that powerful, that charismatic, Even though I did not like the album versions of her songs too much, she absolutely blew my mind in the Sound of Nashville Stage, which is in fact one cinema in the luxury cinema at Mercedes Platz.

 

C2C Berlin 2020 – Day 2 – Spotlight Stage

Saturday on Spotlight Stage has been opened by Nik Wallner. He took the opportunity to play in front of the big crowd and gave them a nice intermission party.

The second slot on Spotlight that day was covered by the amazing Tenille Arts.

Maybe the most impressive performance on the stage was Willie Jones. Even on that small stage and with his guitar player and his DJ, he danced in parallel to his song.
