With Madeline Consoer, I ran into another artist I did not know before when I scanned the new releases as of 16th December 2022. Her sound simply caught me – and thus it was an easy decision to share her debut EP with you. Here are my thoughts about Littte Miss.

Madeline Consoer – About The Artist

Madeline Consoer is a 22 year old country artist. She was born on 16th January 1996 in Eagle River, Wisconsin. She later went to college in Minnesota. During spring break, she visited Nashville the first time. Even though she grew her career around Broadway, her first really big step was when she was part of The Voice in the US in 2020. The following years, she released Die from a Broken Heart has a single. Based on Spotify streams, her 2022 single How Do I Not is her most successful song so far (some 230k streams at the time of writing).

Madeline Consoer – Little Miss – Track by Track

The five track EP lasts 17 minutes.

1. Little Miss

The EP opens with the title track – which is, by the way, the only song released before this EP. These 2:35 minutes are just country music as I love it. A very intense voice, a catching voice – and a good bit of rock. I just could not stop listening to these five songs after I heard Little Miss.

2. Running into a Heartbreak

I keep running into a heartbreak – after a very rocking beginning, the second song rather comes with pop elements. However, the melodic elements are very nice and the bridge feels like Madeline is encouraging you to sing along at a live show.

3. Heaven

Heaven is also a country-pop track. This time, the sound has a nice groove, which feels to give it a touch of R’n’B. Very modern sound, just like made for radio airplay. I also enjoy to listen to wide range of notes sung by Consoer in the center track of the EP.

4. Love Me Like That

The fourth track is a slower, very intense song. Not really a ballad, but the presence of Consoer’s vocals in this Love Me Like That are simply magical. Could be a highlight whenever this young lady is on stage.

5. Drinkin to You

Drinkin to You is somehow a little bit of everything. It is an intense sound with sprinkles of guitars here and there. And it is a showcase of her great present voice. Nonetheless, this structural potpourri of the songs before does not work as good as the four ingredients before.

Madeline Consoer – Little Miss – My View

I like it! Even though I feel that Drinkin to You is a bit weaker than the songs before, I had a lot of fun listening to this Little Miss from Wisconsin. Great country songs with a good pop touch. Madeline Consoer left me with a big smile on my face. Good work!
