During a July 2020 trip through the Netherlands, I had two nights at the NH Collection Hotel Eindhoven Centre, right at Eindhoven Main Station. The ideal location for a rail trip was also the key argument for my overnight choice. Of course, I was also curious about the brand – this was my first NH Collection stay with Flyctory.com.

 

NH Collection Eindhoven Centre – Location

If you arrive at Eindhoven by train, you just cannot miss the hotel: just when you get out of the main / Southern entrance of Eindhoven Central Station, you already see the NH Collection sign on top of the tall building. It is just crossing a road and thus a less than five minute walk to the hotel.

NH Collection Eindhoven Centre is located right in the heart of the city. You can walk to central attractions like the Philips Museum, the PSV Stadium or the DAF Museum. The next building hosts an Albert Heijn supermarket and there are numerous bars and restaurants around, in addition to the hotel facilities. There is also a cinema in the neighborhood, in case you fancy to go to the movies.

 

NH Collection Eindhoven Centre – Rooms

I had a two night stay in the hotel, Friday to Sunday, for 189 Euro, including city tax and breakfast. Even though the room was not super-large, I really liked it. It had a quite nice design and was very functional. The workdesk was really handy. There were some welcome candies on the workdesk and a coffee / tea maker. As typical during Covid-19 times, the minibar was empty.

The shower bathroom suited to the room very well. It was a nice and light design. I enjoyed the large illuminated mirror with an integrated magnifying mirror. Basic amenities were provided as well.

 

NH Collection Eindhoven Centre – Breakfast / Food

One of the best parts of the NH Collection Eindhoven Centre stay was definitely breakfast. The Vane restaurant on the 13th (and 14th) floor hosted the start of the day and was simply lovely. The first factor were the large windows with a nice view of the city. The overall style of the place was lovely as well. For stuff like hot drinks, which were served at the table, you had a serving table next to your place to ensure social distancing: your food and drinks were brought to the serving table from where you were able to grab it.

Most of the breakfast, however, was buffet style. Juices, bread, hot dishes (like waffles, omelette, …), salad, fruit, everything was placed on the buffet tables so that you could grab your selection. That was an outstanding concept with a nice variety – I would say that NH Collection Eindhoven Centre definitely served me the best breakfast I had during the pandemic times so far. On one day, they even brought some surprise dishes to the table. I did not take pictures on Sunday, which additionally featured cake. A great start of the day!

 

NH Collection Eindhoven Centre – Services

Service at NH Collection Eindhoven Centre was really good. The welcoming at check-in and the staff in general during the stay and at check-out was really friendly. The hygienic measures were really good and never gave me an unsafe feeling. The WiFi in the room was absolutely sufficient.

The hotel has a fitness room, which is 24 hrs. As they have to disinfect the room after I would have entered it, I did not enter the gym just for some pictures. I will do that generally during these times.

 

NH Collection Eindhoven Centre – My View

NH Collection in Eindhoven was really a great stay. The location was good, I really enjoyed the room and the breakfast was outstanding.
