The music industry is more and more taking a summer break. There were just a few songs I felt featuring in my Songs of the Week. Hope you like my song selection.

 

Isabel van Gelder – Complicated

I just added the tour dates of the Dutch vocal pop artist Isabel van Gelder to my Tour Date Overview. Now, she is supporting my choice with her beautiful new single Complicated. A fine and fragile listen. Maybe have a deeper listen when she is touring soon?

 

Soffie – Du bist kaputt

After Crop Top Boy featured in my 19th June 2026 Songs of the Week, German artist Soffie makes it into my series of posts for the second time within a month. The song is about her old car. Nice German pop track.

 

Jannemacher – Koa Headliner

Jannemacher is the artist name of the Bavarian artist Jan Wannemacher. In this song he states “I am no headliner” and tells about his musical career. The song will be part of his upcoming album, In Gedanken frei (24th October 2026).

 

Adrian – Wie Du

Adrian is a pop singer-songwriter from Berlin. He originally was part of the band Castle of Clouds – nowadays, he is releasing solo music. Wie Du (“Like You”) is a really nice pop song.

Bläck Fööss – Sommernaach am Rhing

A summer song from the Cologne music legends Bläck Fööss. This week, the band is sharing their “Summer Night at the Rhine” in local dialect. Some nice summer vibes in my home town style.

 

Wincent Weiss – Uuuhh

Five studio albums, all placed in the Top 3 of the German charts – the career of Wincent Weiss is truly impressing. After releasing his 18 track album Hast Du kurz Zeit in January 2026, he is already doing new tracks. A really nice one. After having a couple of shows in summer 2026, he will be in Germany’s largest arenas in late 2027.

 

Die Lärmer – Leicht sein

I still love the band’s era as Luxuslärm. After they broke up in 2016, they restarted as Die Lärmer. The pop-rock sound of the quintet from Iserlohn does not sound – and is still a lot of fun listening to.

 

Nickelback ft. John 5 – Rattle The Cage

Last, but not least, there is some rock music from Nickelback. Fans look forward to 30th October 2026, when the Canadians will publish will release their new album Everything Under The Sun. This first teaser, recorded with Marilyn Manson-guitarist John 5, is definitely a good starter.
