Flyctory.com Songs Of The Week (week of 10th July 2026)

My week in music is very exciting. After having my first concert in Canada and my first proper photo coverage from there in 2016 on Sunday (with the Weird Al show in Niagara Falls), I had two more concerts this week. Thus, I also had to move my album reviews slightly to Thursday and Friday. The concert reports will be published on Sunday and Monday. In line with that, I share some seasonal vibes in my leading Song of the Week this time.

Azteck & DJ Koko ft. Kurt D – Everything’s Alright

Summertime means party, pop and a touch of reggae, ain’t it? The BritishDutch producer and DJ Azeteck and English singer Kurt D. produced this song, which just feels to hit it perfectly. I just felt to make you dance with this one.

Anica Russo – Rose Colored Glasses

Anica Russo especially gained some popularity when she released Empty Promises together with Zooo in 2021. In 2023, she was part of the German Eurovision Song Contest qualification. She grew up in Northern Germany in a family with Croatian and Italian descent. Nowadays, she lives in BerlinRose Colored Glasses is a really nice modern pop song.

Jungle – Someday, Somewhere

Sunshine is the upcoming album by Jungle. Fans of the British disco soul duo will be able to enjoy the full record on 14th August 2026. So long, they can have a summer party with the fine and rhythmic Someday, Somewhere.

Joelina Drews – Durch und Durch

Here is a one track excursion to German schlager. Joelina Drews performs her version of Durch and Durch – a track which has previously performed by her father Jürgen as well. A nice modern track by the young Munich-born schlager and pop artist, who is now performing under her civil name, after releasing music as Joedy and Joelina before.

Francesca Tarantino – Satisfied

I do the vast majority of this posting by promotion mails and promotion platform. However, I ran into Francesca Tarantino on social media, when she teased her new single release Satisfied. A very interesting emerging rock artist from Orlando – hope hearing more from her soon.

Bunch of Ace – Käfig aus Gold

Summer vibes by my favorite German teenage pop twins (there are likely not too many, but I really like Alessja and Alandra…). This week, they released their German pop track Käfig aus Gold (“Cage of Gold”). A nice song with a good groove. If you want to learn more about them, have a look into our September 2025 Spotlight interview.

Tita and Treysti – Vit hjalpast at

It’s just about a month until I’m finally back on the Faroe Islands. This song from there is in fact supporting first aid for children. The title means “We’ll help each other”. The two characters Tita and Treysti will teach Faroese kids in that, the song is sung by Bjarki Virgarsson Trondsesen and Jóhanna Biritudottir Iversen. A really nice song with a good message.

Jack Savoretti – The One

Likely, the most beautiful song on my new song list this week is The One. British-Irish artist Jack Savoretti recorded this soft rock song, which reminds a lot of big 1990’s songs of that genre.

Green Day – I’m Never Gonna R.I.P.

The US rockers released I’m Never Gonna R.I.P. this week. It is part of the NIMRODS soundtrack. This song made me smile the most – I just could not imagine that Green Day is releasing an absolutely straight rock’n’roll track. It’s so much fun!

Awake At 2AM ft. Dr. Stuff – Gonna Do It My Way

Awake At AM is a project from Southern Germany. This week, they collaborated with Dr. Stuff and released the punky pop-rock track Gonna Do It My Way. A really fun listen.

Alice Stark – Märchen

Alice Stark is singing about “Fairy Tales” this week. She started as a guest and background singer, but also releases solo tracks. Her voice is impressing and perfectly suits the melancholic touch of this song.

Alles Karo – Faust

Faust is the first song I feature from the German band Alles Karo. The band combines indie-rock and punk elements. Their new song comes with an intense atmosphere and good lyrics. They are about to release their debut album soon – sounds promising.
