This week’s Songs of the Week are quite diverse. Big names and newcomers, songs from all kinds of genres – that’s just how I like my new song release post. And there is even a song which made me smile. This week I especially struggled with the changes in Facebook and Instagram, where Meta has significantly limited the number of links per month. Hope you stay with my and my blog. I tried to make things a bit more convenient with the new Flyctory.com Landingpage. But for now, enjoy the new songs I selected.

 

My Song of the Week:

Hardcore Superstar – Halo

Next year, the hard rock and glam metal band from Gothenburg, Sweden, are already celebrating their 30th band anniversary. Time to warm up for the party – their new song Halo definitely comes with a nice catch.

 

Other Great Songs this Week:

Beyond Frequencies – More Than a Feeling

The Swiss alternative rock band Beyond Frequencies formed in 2019. Since then, they steadily grew their fan base. In early 2027, they will release a new studio album. The song is also a nice showcase for their amazing singer Blazy Flash.

 

Nickelback – Make Me Love You

The Canadians Nickelback are truly one of rock music’s finest acts. On 30th October 2026, they will share their new album Everything Under The Sun. This song is another really promising teaser.

 

Mackenzy Mackay – Nice To Know You

Mackenzy Mackay recently had a series of sold out concerts. Now, the British artist is working towards his upcoming new album. This first preview, Nice To Know You, definitely makes me look forward to it.

 

Thomas Hall – Tongue Tied

Thomas Hall – this sounds like a solo artist. And at a very first glance, you might think it is a single folk–pop singer-songwriter. In fact, it is a collaboration of the Austrian-Canadian artist Jordan Haller and Austrian Thomas Thurner. There is even quite a bit of country music in this song.

 

James Cottriall – Try

James Cottriall is originally from Great Britain, but is nowadays living in Austria. Twelve Top 40 singles there illustrate that he is an established in the domestic music scene. His new song Try is a singer-songwriter track with a very positive and encouraging attitude. Next year, he will release a new album and is also planning a major tour.

 

Thomas Rodenbach – Not Alone

The German singer-songwriter Thomas Rodenbach presents his new song Not Alone. The song is a modern pop song, which nicely profits from the artist’s fine voice. I absolutely like it.

 

Michael Schulte – Cover You

I guess I don’t have to introduce you to Michael Schulte any more. The Northern German artist, who represented his country in the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest, is one of these artists, who makes it in my new song radar with almost  any time. This week, Cover You combines a fine singer-songwriter melody with a catching beat.

 

Paula Carolina ft. Otto Waalkes – Otto Normal

This song made me smile – I just had to share it. 78 year old Otto Waalkes from Emden, East Frisia, is one of Germany’s finest comedians and still sells out major arenas with his unique style. He is also a really fine musician. This week, he is featured by Paula Carolina,. The emerging artist from Hanover has just released her third studio album in March this year. But as the title suggests: Otto is somehow in focus on this track.

 

Soffie – Fous!

Soffie is a German artist, who already ha a golden record in her country with Für immer Frühling (“Forever Spring”). In her new song Fous! (French, “Crazy”), she criticizes the stubborn behavior of young people nowadays. A really nice one.

 

Avalan – For Nothing

The last song on my list this week is a nice dance pop track with a slightly nostalgic style. The duo Avalan, consisting of Dutch Valentijn Hoogwerf from Amsterdam, and Rockston (Emil Vogel) from Berlin, released this nice one, which definitely could make you dance.
