Hampton Inn & Suites Nashville-Airport

After I made my trip to Nashville, my stay during the CMA Fest 2019 was the Hampton Inn Nashville-Airport. I went for a Hilton Hotel which is not too pricey and finally decided to take this stay on the edge of the city. The hotel was also the end of my trip report about getting from Germany to Nashville.

Hampton Inn Nashville-Airport – Location

The hotel is located right at the I-40 and in close proximity to the airport. It operates a shuttle service to BNA airport. Despite the hotel being right at the Interstate and flight traffic, I felt the hotel is very quiet.

There are a lot of other hotels and restaurants around, mainly fast food. You can have a basic supply of food from the gas station, which is directly adjacent. The next supermarket was a Family Dollar, which closed during my stay. A Kroger supermarket is some two miles away.

Hampton Inn Nashville-Airport – Rooms

Hampton Inn rooms are not a posh oasis of overwhelming luxury, but my room was spacious and comfortable. One feature I especially liked were two boxes, which were perfect to put your suitcases on. Apart from that, there were many power plugs, USB charging ports… Things which make your life just easier. Including amenities like the large fridge, it was the perfect comfort for my needs during the CMA Fest – relax, work and sleep.

The bathroom was clean and featured a large shower, no bathtub. A had a bit of problems with the toilet flush here and there, but overall, it was a good one. All the necessary amenities were available as well.

Hampton Inn Nashville-Airport – Breakfast

Hampton breakfast in the USA is quite standardized – the more I was (positively) surprised that the Hampton Inn & Suites Nashville-Airport did some services above it. For example, there were two different kinds of dough for the waffle machine. For most of the days, the breakfast was well maintained and filled up. During one morning, they struggled with refilling the items.

Hampton Inn Nashville-Airport – Services

The staff was very helpful during my whole stay. The check-in was nice and they helped me out over my expectations, when I had to print out a ticket and the business center was blocked (by a person playing Mahjongg there…). Housekeeping was accurate. Maybe the CMA Fest week is the most unfortunate to test the internet connection, but I had some lags during the weekend there, even in late hours. Overall, the connection was fine, though.

The hotel offers a gym and a nice outdoor pool, which is located right at the parking lot, though. The parking lot is large, but it was very close to its limit during the festival.

Hampton Inn Nashville-Airport – My View

The location may be more ideal for an early morning flight than for the CMA Fest, but I definitely had a really good time at the Hampton Inn & Suites Nashville Airport. The breakfast was good, the staff was really great. The hotel was quiet and nicely connected to the infrastructure. I did not have any serious traffic jams when heading for Nissan Stadium parking in the morning. Thus, overall, it was just a good time. If you do not need to stay in the (overpriced) city center, the Hampton is definitely a wise choice. Despite some minor issues, which just happen during a five night stay, I felt that this hotel deserves a Top Pick! rating.
