Meetings, congresses or trainings – the German airline Lufthansa has quite a bit of a demand for that. For that purpose, they are driving the hotel and congress center Lufthansa Seeheim. I have been really curious about this place – and as the hotel offers air condition, I went for a stay there during a hot weekend in Germany in June 2026. Here is my review.

Lufthansa Seeheim – Location

The hotel and congress city is named after Seeheim-Jugenheim, the city at which the place is located. In fact, Lufthansa Seeheim is located at the Southern edge of the borough Seeheim, a bit of uphill in the hills. The elevation to the city is about 100 meters. Seeheim offers some food and shopping opportunities. Driving distance to Frankfurt Airport (FRA) is roughly 35 to 40 km, Heidelberg is about 50km South of the hotel. The area is popular for hiking and outdoor activities. There are also the remains of a former castle on top of a nearby hill.

The hotel is not too far from the A5 motorway. The Seeheim-Jugenheim exist is not too far away from the hotel. Seeheim offers tram connections to Darmstadt, from where you can connect to regional rail services, e.g. to Frankfurt. A very nice option to get to the hotel is using the shuttle bus it offers from Frankfurt Airport (FRA). If you have pre-booked, it is complimentary for your stay. Guests arriving by carcan use a free parking garage right opposite to the hotel.

Lufthansa Seeheim – Atmosphere

As Lufthansa Seeheim is located on a hill overlooking the Rhine valley, it is coming with a very impressing scenery. The hotel and congress center feels very modern, with clear signs and structures. Lufthansa as a branding is very present with plane models and other aviation related items in and around the hotel. You can even try a mock-up of the Allegris First Class cabin at one spot of the hotel (unfortunately, it is not functional). I also like the wide stairs and aisles in the central part of the building. The key conference facilities are in one wing of the hotel.

Lufthansa Seeheim – Room

I had two nights in a single room in June 2026, Friday to Sunday. The total including breakfast two nights in a single room – the most basic room category – was 198 EUR for two nights. Thereby, I profited from an offer that if you stay Saturday to Sunday, you get the same rate Friday to Saturday. The nominal rate was 145 EUR for the first night. The room felt modern, but also very compact. As I traveled with quite a bit of technical and medical equipment, I had a comparably major suitcase, which was a bit of tricky to store. The work desk was rather large. However the distance from the desk to the bed was limited so that you could only sit on the very right side (at least with my body size). A bit of disappointingly, there was just one power outlet at the work desk, which is just not fit for purpose nowadays. In general, there are just two outlets in the living area. A third one is blocked by the table. The hotel room featured quite some storage and a safe, but no fridge or similar item.

The bathroom followed similar characteristics. It was rather compact, but fit for purpose. Nonetheless, there was sufficient space for your personal bathroom items. Basic amenities were provided in dispensers. The room felt modern and well maintained. I found minor issues at the carpet of the hotel room. A nice feature – and souvenir – is a plastic water bottle you can use to refresh and rehydrate during the stay. The room had a nice view over the valley, which I absolutely liked.

Lufthansa Seeheim – Breakfast / Food

Breakfast is served in the large restaurant one level below lobby and reception level. You can sit in the large indoor area or have your meal on the large terrace overlooking the valley. The selection of breakfast items was really nice. Fried eggs and omelets are done at an live cooking egg station. The selection of bread items, cold cuts and healthy items was really good. The offer of additional warm breakfast items was fine. You have to clean the table by yourself, which is fine. Overall, the maintenance and restocking of items worked very well. However, on my Sunday breakfast, they missed to restock orange juice for about half an hour, which should definitely not be the case.

Other Food

The same restaurant is also used for lunch and dinner. During the week, they offer different dishes, a bit of similar to a canteen. I had dinner in the hotel on the second night. Lufthansa Seeheim used more of the live cooking stations for that. There were various options, from meat roast to pizza. They also offer vegetaian and vegan options. The offer was really nice, maybe a bit of weaker on the sweet side. The dinner buffet price is 39 EUR. It also includes water, juices and a selection of wine. These are presented on the buffet. However, it does not include soft drinks and beer, which I felt being a bit of annoying.

The breakfast / dining area also includes a bar, which sold the soft drinks. Additionally, there is the Upper Deck bar on reception level. This one also features some outdoor seating.

Lufthansa Seeheim – Service

The staff at Lufthansa Seeheim is very friendly and helpful. There are a lot of nice places to hang out, either in the breaks of an event or just to enjoy yourself. WiFi is provided by the same company providing internet in Lufthansa Lounges in Germany, so that the quality is really fine.  There is also a vending machine on lobby level, if you need a quick snack. Additionally, there is a Lufthansa store with a lot of souvenirs. Unfortunately, it closes at 14:00 on Fridays and is closed over the weekend – I would have loved to have a deeper look into it. I definitely feel they should at least open it for a few hours any day.

A very nice part of the hotel i s the gym and spa area. The gym area is on top of the large swimming pool. One side of the rather slim and long place is made of glass, which leads to a nice atmosphere. The pool also has a terrace, so that you can enjoy the sun before or after a swim. A few steps below, there is the sauna area with two saunas, a relax room and a dedicated ladies sauna. It typically opens in the afternoon, but on weekends, they also switch on the saunas earlier on demand.

Lufthansa Seeheim – My View

Lufthansa Seeheim is not just a congress hotel in the middle of nowhere, located in a beautiful scenery. Due to the nature and hikes around, but also due to the facilities in the hotel, it is a really nice place to hang out and relax. Two key features are the shuttle to Frankfurt Airport (FRA) and the free parking garage. This makes it easy to get to the hotel, even though it is a bit of remote. I really liked my stay there.
