Flyctory.com Songs Of The Week (week of 21st August 2026)

What an amazing week lies ahead, with all the coverages of the Wenzel Nordic Cup in handball on the Faroe Islands. You see that the European music industry is slowly coming back from a lower intensity summer period – which leads to some really nice songs this week. Here is my selection of new songs in the week of 21st August 2026.

Smash Into Pieces – Miracle

The Swedish rockers might be the act which has been featured the most in my Songs of the Week. Their this week’s song release Miracle is already the fourteenth one featured in my new song posting series.

Floor Jansen – Bring Me Silence

A big name in metal is Floor Jansen. Since 13 years, the Netherlands artist is the lead singer of the Finnish band Nightwish. With her 2023 debut album Paradgon, she peaked second in the Dutch charts. She already announced that her new album will be closer to her metal roots, like as she were part of the band After Forever.

The Grogans – Reasons

The Grogans have their tenth band anniversary this year. With Reasons, the garage rock band from Melbourne, Australia, have their first appearance on Flyctory.com. They already got quite some reputation domestically, with their 2025 album Stagger (their fifth one, already…) hitting a Top 10 spot there. Congrats!

Connor Skinner – Let Me Go

Another new name on my website is Connor Skinner. The 21 year old English artist grew up in a countryside suburb of Manchester. His bio draws a rather dark and hopeless view on that time. Bu then, Connor started uploading music to TikTok and grew massively. Let Me Go is an absolutely catching, emotional singer-songwriter track.

Die Happy – Crazy

Die Happy are an alternative rock and metal band from Ulm in Southern Germany. Especially in the early to mid 2000’s, they have been rather successful, having two entries into the German Top 10 album charts. Lead singer Marta Jandova is indeed doing it really well – fingers crossed that the 33 year long band history reaches another peak!

Hanna Rautzenberg – London, 3AM

It has been a really close decision who is leading the Songs of the Week this time. I really like this girlie-style indie-pop track by the German artist from Leipzig. A really nice song with a good melody and catching vibes.

JOA – Worst behavior

Another really catching pop track this week is Worst behavior by the Norwegian artist JOA (short for her first name Johanna). The song also promotes her debut EP I’m a girl with feelings baby. You will be able to listen to it from 9th October 2026.

Mackenzy Mackay – What It Means To Be Loved

For Mackenzy Mackay, it is already the third time I feature him in my Songs of the Week. The British artist from Yorkshire presents this beautiful pop track with a slight alternative touch. What a nice listen!

Isaac Roux – Good Times

Lost and Found is the upcoming album by Isaac Roux. The Belgian artist will share it on 30th October 2026. Good Times is a first snippet of the record – and it (again) sounds really promising. Really nice song.

Clara Louise – Dogs In The Meadows

I really loved having a new song by Clara Louise out this week. It is already quite a while ago since I reviewed the lovely 2022 album Enough Is Enough by the German artist. On 13th November 2026, she will share a new EPLonely Sailor. I definitely keep my fingers crossed for that one.

21KNM feat. Anna Lovisa Myri – Streymurin

This week cannot be complete without a song from the Faroe Islands. The band 21KNM combines rock and rap elements in their music. In their new song, the additional singer Anna Lovisa Myri even leads to a wider sound. Unfortunately, we don’t get the satirical touch in the lyrics.

Yvy Hold – Masterpiece

Yvy Hold are a rather new rock act from Northern Germany. In Masterpiece, they tell the story of the emancipation of a young female in the professional world. She sends out the message that a person may be a Masterpiece. Unfortunately, there is just limited bio I can share, but it is a very unique and strong listen.
