Flyctory.com Songs Of The Week (week of 22nd May 2026)

Another week, another Songs of the Week. I was originally planning to have a country music festival coverage this weekend – but I rather have to relax. I hope my health condition stabilizes until next week, when I aim for a trip to the United States. This week, there is another wide mix of music in my release radar. First time this year, I feel, that it is lead by a schlager song.

Linda Hesse – Kleinstadtcasanova

Linda Hesse’s new song’s title translates to “Small Town Casanova”. This could be a country song title, couldn’t it? The 1987-born schlager artist from Halberstadt peaked ninth in the German charts with her latest album Mach ma laut (“Do it loud”). However, this was in 2018. I really like the vibes of her new song.

Dina del Sol – Mädels auf Euch!

Summer vibes and a debut on my website. The German artist Dina del Sol from Bad Kreuznach adds another schlager track to my new song overview. A sunny weekend is ahead in Germany – and this song gives some nice dance vibes to it.

Culcha Candela – Adrenalin

Especially in the late 2000’s, when they had huge hits with party tracks like Hamma or Monsta, Culcha Candela was a very successful act in Germany. Their last two studio albums did not even have a chart placement in their home country. However, the band from Berlin, which combines pop, dance, reggae and hip hop elements, still got a good vibe. Their new song is supporting that.  Right for their 25th band anniversary next year, there will be a new studio album.

ASDIS – The Art of Letting Go

I featured the Icelandic singer ASDIS four times in my Songs of the Week already. The last time, her collaboration with Michael Schulte, Half Of My Heart, made it into the 19th September 2025 edition. A really nice pop track.

Mina Richman – Terrified Of Change

Terrified Of Change is the second song release of Different Flavors of Being Happy. The German-Iranian artist Mina Richman recorded another listen in her lovely, characteristic style. I really look forward to the album and the corresponding tour – you find the dates in my Tour Date Overview.

Benjamin Rajani – Glansbilot

Benjamin Rajani – I really like what the Faroese artist is doing. His song A Sigursferd is a Song of my Life – and my Song of the Year in 2024. This week, he shares a new song, which is about the struggle and pressure of being young today. A nice singer-songwriter track with folk music vibes.

Lake – Hey Sam

The German-British band Lake is looking back to a really long band history. The rockers have been founded in 1973 in Northern Germany already. After a breakup in 1988, they reunited in the early 2000’s. Three original band members are part of the recording. Their new album Four will be released on 5th June 2026.

Jamie Lee Harrison – Without Your Love

Another artist, who is having the first appearance on my website, is Jamie Lee Harrison. The British singer-songwriter from Newcastle already opened for Robbie Williams. I really like his folk-pop song Without Your Love.

Lukas Graham – Second Chance

Lukas Graham is a Danish pop band around singer Lukas Forchhammer from Copenhagen. In 2023, I featured their album 4 (The Pink Album). This week, Second Chance also teases their upcoming album. A really nice one.

Tiel – Bitte geh nicht

Music from my home town: Thiel are an alternative rock and grunge band from Cologne in Germany. The song is their fourth single release in total. A really promising sound with a touch of melancholy.

Nothing But Thieves – Evolution

The British rock band Nothing But Thieves from Southend-on-Sea celebrate their fifteenth band anniversary next year. It’s their first song release after two years. Their previous album, the 2023 Dead Club City, topped the British charts.

Tokio Hotel – Memory Lane

In recent times, the German pop-rock brothers Kaulitz and their band Tokio Hotel rather frequently made it on my website. Their new song Memory Lane is another really nice listen. The band already confirmed that there will be a seventh studio album soon.

Rachel Bolan (& Skid Row) – Memory

The song is typically promoted as released by Rachel Boland and Skid Row. However, you might know Bolan as the bassist and key songwriter of the US American metal band. Regardless of the exact credits, Memory is a really nice hard rock song, which closes my list of new releases this week.
