I am still shocked by Dolly Parton’s death on Tuesday. Apart from the memorial post, there will be a few adjustments to my usual schedule due to that. My list of new song releases, which are not related to country music, however, is not impacted by that. Hope you enjoy my selection.
Tiffany Aris – Find Me
I had a couple of songs this week I really loved – but finally went for this one by the German artist Tiffany Aris. Find Me is a lovely modern pop which a very persona and vulnerable touch. She already had an airplay hit with Vertigo this year (in Germany and Switzerland). In November 2026, she will have her first headline tour in Germany. Nowadays, the Hamburg-born lives in Berlin.
Adrenaline – 20TveyFimm
I always scan for music from the Faroe Islands when I compose my Songs of the Week. Rather frequently, I run into really well-written songs – like this time 20TveyFimm is catching pop song, which is a fun listen even if you don’t know the language. I absolutely like it.
ELIF – Fassade
Elif (Demirezer) is a German artist from Berlin. She was the runner-up at the 2009 edition of the TV casting show Popstars. So far, she has released four studio albums. She will tour Germany, Austria, and Switzerland in 2026.
Ela Paul – Endlich Sommer
Ain’t you bit of late, Ela Paul? The title of her new song translates to “Finally Summer”. If you feel that Ela is a new artist to you – you are likely wrong. The Cologne artist already had a golden record in 2003 with the band Wonderwall (Witchcraft). She is also successful as an actress. A fine, groovy and very rhythmic song – definitely worth a listen1
Lost In Lona – Now I Feel It
Lost In Lona is an indie-folk duo from Switzerland. Lidia Beck and Konstantin Aebli are based in Basel and Zurich. They already played a couple of major festivals. The light touch of Now I Feel It leads to nice summer vibes. I like it.
Kiara Nelson – Dancing Alone
Kiara Nelson was born in Jacksonville in Florida. However, she also has Finnish roots and lived there in Kotka and Espoo. She already had a major hit – alongside M-22 – with After Hours in 2019. Her new single is a nice dance pop song with a slightly darker touch.
Pietro Basile – Miss Italia
Schlager with a nice dance pop attitude – Pietro Basile and his Miss Italia simply made me smile this week. The Italian singer-songwriter, who was born in Munich, Germany, already had a viral song with Scusami released in 2008. Hope you enjoy these happy vibes.
Cesar Sampson – Rooftop
Cesar Sampson from Linz in Austria because famous when he represented his home country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal. His song, Nobody But You, topped the Austrian charts. The artist, who also has British roots, combines soul and Latin vibes with pop. A very rhythmic, catching song.
KARGO ft. Stefan Zepp – Hollywood
KARGO is an emerging German artist. In January 2026, he released his debut EP Songs, Die Du Nicht Verdienst (“Songs you don’t deserve”). He is based in Hanover. For this song, he worked together with Stefan Zepp, who is the guitarist at Tanzbar and drummer at Yago.
Nicotine Dolls – Enemy
I feature a lot of pop songs this week – but there are some really fine rock tracks as well. Fasten your seat belts, the Nicotine Dolls push the guitars at Energy. The indie-rockers were formed in New York City in 2017. Their new release is a great rock track with a fine indie touch.
Amon Amarth – Eight Legs of Thunder
Th Swedes push it even harder this week. Eight Legs of Thunder is another single release towards their new album The Allfather Awakens by the melodic death metal bands. Great rock power – and a nice vocal performance by Johan Hegg.
Saguru – Like a Silverfish
Saguru is the indie-folk project by Munich singer-songwriter Chris Rappel. His new track Like a Silverfish has a mysterious, catching atmosphere – it’s absolutely fun listening to it. The song will be part of an upcoming debut album.
Blue Moon Rising – Call Me Angel
Last but not least, there is this beautiful folk-pop ballad by the German project Blue Moon Rising. Unfortunately, there is just very limited information about the authors. But, nonetheless, the song is absolutely catching.
