Flyctory.com Songs Of The Week (week of 3rd April 2026)

I am spending the week before Easter in the United States. Majorly, my wife and I visit Nashville. I post my list of new (non-country) songs from Atlanta, though. The music market is slightly less active due to the Easter holidays. Nonetheless, there are some fine ones this week. Hope you enjoy my new episode of the Songs of the Week.

Dogma – Fate Unblinds

Very little is known about the hard rock project Dogma, which is regarded being from South Africa. Nonetheless, they had great success with their self-titled debut album. The band had a couple of lineup changes thereafter, so that they only released three singles in total in 2024 and 2025. Now they are back with their first single in 2026 – I absolutely like Fate Unblinds.

Kasabian – Great Pretender

The British rock band Kasabian from Leicester will celebrate their 30th band anniversary next year. However, they first have to work on what is happening to them in 2026, which is majorly the release of their album Act III in summer. The song is not a The Platters cover, by the way.

Lambrini Girls – Cult of Celebrity

The Lambrini Girls are an indie-punk duo from Brighton in England. They are just about to head overseas kicking off their tour there. The first dates are their appearances at the legendary Coachella festival. I am sure that Phoebe Lunny (vocals/guitar) and Selin
Macieira (bass) will cause great fun their with their Cult of Celebrity.

Harsh – Back to Life

This week’s Songs of the Week is having quite a focus on rocking songs. A very interesting hard rock act is Harsh. They French band will release their sophomore album Feels on 3rd July 2026. The teasing song, Back to Life feels really cool, with nice vibes and a good rhythm. The quartet will support The New Roses on their winter 2026 tour.

Starlight – Dreymaland

Starlight are a quintet from the Faroe Islands. Their song Dreymaland describes the feeling of being on a ship far away from home watching the moon in the night. A lovely folkrock melody with a lot of harmony, even if you don’t understand the lyrics.

Fast Boy – Beautiful Life

Fast Boy are an electronic dance music duo from Berlin, Germany. The two members Lucas and Felix Hain, are brothers who are originally from Franconia in Southeast Germany. With Bad Memories, produced with Medusa and James Carter, they already had platinum records in Germany and Switzerland and golden ones in Austria and the United Kingdom. This week, they celebrate the Beautiful Life – and you just have to dance to their beat.

Melissa Naschenweng – Hoamat in mir

Melissa Naschenweng is something like an Austrian music icon, somewhere between folk, schlager, rock and party music. I already reviewed two of her albums, Alpenbarbie (2025) and Glück (2022). Both made it into the Top Pick! rating zone. Her new song (“Home in me”) is making me smile as well.

Martina – Affäre

I absolutely loved introducing Southern German schlager artist Martina to you in a 2023 Spotlight interview. Martina released a new song, Affäre (“Affair”) , on Wednesday. I feel it is one of her best ones so far.
