Due to the handball coverage from the Wenzel Nordic Cup on the Faroe Islands, I had to shift my timing this weekend a bit. While I already released the update of the New Country Songs playlist, I postponed my Songs of the Week this time to Saturday evening. The list of new tracks is rather short, but definitely features some good ones.

 

James Blunt – Tastes Like Summer

I typically love to feature emerging artists in my new song overview. But James Blunt simply did the best one. I would describe Tastes Like Summer als a lovely, slower post-summer pop track. I really like its vibes.

 

Cavetown – Big Strong Man

This week, I feature quite a bit of British music in my song releases. Cavetown is the artist name of Robin Daniel Skinner, who was born in 1998 in Oxford. He already had three songs in the British Top 100. After my 14th November 2025 Songs of the Week, it is the second time I feature a song of him.

 

Iggi Kelly – Miracle

Iggi Kelly is one of these artists, who have a high potential to make it into my Songs of the Week. The sun of Patricia, member of the famous Kelly Family, typically comes with a very catching, melodic pop style. Thus, I also like his new release Miracle. Nice one by the Dusseldorf born artist.

 

Claud – She Doesn’t Love Me

The US American bedroom pop singer-songwriter from Illinois is about to release her third album overall. She Doesn’t Love Me is the first song of Me and the Music, which will be released on 23rd October 2026.

 

Whitney Whitney – Lucky

Whitney Woerz is a US American artist, who grew up in New York City. She initially released music under her civil name . In 2017, she renamed to Whitney Whitney. The song is a lovely pop track with some decent Americana vibes.

 

Royal Blood – Ten Over Ten

The last artist on my list is the band Royal Blood. The last four albums by the British rockers topped the domestic charts. Will the next one do so as well? The answer will be revealed some time after 13th November 2026, the release date of Dead Company. Sounds really promising to me.
