Flyctory.com Songs Of The Week (week of 2nd May 2025)

It has somehow been weird compiling the Songs of the Week for this week. My long list of tracks was already quite short – and I had to take out a couple of them due to wrong release dates, missing information etc. Thus, my selection of new songs of the week of 2nd may 2025 is definitely a bit shorter than I expected. Hope you still enjoy it.

Christian Theiner – Vivere

This is the third time South Tyrol artist Christian Theiner makes into my Songs of the Week. However, it is not only the first time the North Italian made to the top of the post. It is also the first time he makes with a song in Italian. Musik du lebst (17th May 2024 edition) and Energie (19th May 2023) were both sung in German. Nice Italo-pop track with some cool rock vibes.

Mono Inc. – Dein Anker

Mono Inc. have an exciting year ahead. The 2000-founded dark rock band from Hamburg release their 15th studio album Darkness on 15th August 2025. Their headline tour will kick off in October 2025. Dein Anker will likely pop up in both occasions.

Pete Larsen – Land in Sicht

Pete Larsen’s musical beginnings have been as a teenage musician with a band in the former G.D.R. Nowadays, he is based in Rostock at the Baltic Sea coast. His song Land in Sicht is a lovely mixture of pop, rock and folk elements.

Tileema – Für Euch da draussen

Tileema is another German artist on my list today. The Darmstadt-based artist is doing pop-rock songs. Für Euch da draussen is just his second single release so far.

Van Morrison – Cutting Corners

On 13th June 2025, Van Morrison will be releasing his new studio album Remembering NowCutting Corners is one of the feature singles. The song feels to be influenced by multiple genres, which overall leads to a lovely listen. Great song by the Northern Irish artist, who is originally from Belfast. He will celebrate his 80th birthday in August.

Ea Othilde – Will I Be Hearing From You?

Ea Othilde is an emerging artist from OsloWill I Be Hearing From You? is just her second single release at all. I like the fine spirit of the track.

Flo Gabl – Nichts kann mehr weh tun

Flo Gabl’s career is even one step beyond the one of Ea. Nichts kann mehr weh tun is the debut single of the Austrian pop artist. In parallel to pursuing his musical career, the 21 year old studies at Innsbruck University.

Mackenzy Mackay – Want You For Life

Mackenzy Mackay is a very interesting, emerging artist from Yorkshire in the United Kingdom. He started to release music in 2021 and has released three EPs so far, two of them in different versions.

ela. – Blauen Planeten

The German pop artist ela. has made it into my Songs of the Week posts several times before. This week, she released this beautiful one. I really like it.

Maria Bonelli – Rendevous

My this week’s post closes with a schlager track. Maria Bonelli grew up in Germany, but her name already tells you that she has Italian roots as well. I somehow liked the vibes of her song when I scanned for new releases. She is a quite established artist in the German music scene – her debut single is dated as of 2005.
