Flyctory.com Songs Of The Week (week of 9th October 2026)

When this post is published, I am just about to head to the United States. Weird Al Yankovic is calling, I visit the last four shows of his 2026 tour. There is even one song with a nice touch of humor in my list of new songs this week. Hope you like my weekly song selection this time (again) – even though it is really small this time, solely featuring German artists.

My Song of the Week:

Marc Atlas – Waste My Time

In my 16th January 2026 Songs of the Week, German artist Marc Atlas appeared on Flyctory.com the first time. The song I loved that time was Echoes of You. After he released his debut album Nothing To Lose in March 2026, his amazing voice is again a key factor that his new song Waste My Time is such a great listen. In spring 2027, he will have his first headline tour.

Other Great Songs this Week:

Sebastian Schub – Before You Hit The Water.

I have quite a couple of sophomore appearances to my Songs of the Week this time. Kiss of Life (You’re Kinda Magical) lead to Sebastian’s debut in my 3rd July 2026 posting. The German singer-songwriter was born in Berlin, grew up in Hamburg and nowadays lives in the United Kingdom, where he grew is career in London. The lovely alternative pop song Before You Hit the Water. is definitely worth listening. He is currently touring.

Ela Paul – Gestreift

Ela Paul just had her debut to my Songs of the Week a few weeks ago, when I selected Endlich Sommer for my 28th August edition. This week, she released the beautiful, gentle song Gestreift (“Striped”). An absolutely heartwarming listen.

Julian Haag – Geschichte schreiben

Julian Haag is a German pop and schlager artist. Born in Mönchengladbach near Düsseldorf, he is nowadays living in Wuppertal. This week, he is singing about “Writing History”. I really like this very impressing one.

Mike Krüger ft. Slizzy Bob – Zeitnah

German comedian Mike Krüger is known for having a certain passion for country music. Together with the producer Slizzy Bob, he is heading towards another genre, though. The formed the project Die Blues Brüder – which translates to “The Blues Brothers” – and make blues songs out of everyday situations. Of course, there is a touch of humor in the songs as well – like in this one (“Timely”).

Björn Heuser & Dennis Kleimann – Hür niemols op ze dräume

I simply love Björn Heuser and his music. This time, the Cologne local again worked with another Rheinland artist, Dennis Kleimann and recorded this song. The title translates to “Never stop dreaming” – I feel that is a good goal for the following week.
