Flyctory.com Songs Of The Week (week of 21st March 2025)

This week, Rock of Ages is in town. I am attending all six shows of the musical in Cologne. This limits my time a bit, but it is also – especially mentally – very relaxing. The list of new tracks, which I really liked, was surprisingly short this week. Hope you nonetheless like it.

Buckcherry – Roar Like Thunder

This week is lead by lovely rock’n’roll. Buckcherry released the track on Tuesday already. Roar Like Thunder is the title track of the Los Angeles hard rock band’s upcoming album. It is going to be released in June 2025.

Mark Morton feat. Charlie Starr & Jason Isbell – Come December

This one has a lot of country music in it. Guitarist Mark Morton is rather known from the metal genre, but his guest musicians Charlie Starr (Blackberry Smoke) and Jason Isbell are rather known for the Americana field. Together, they released this beautiful one this week – a really nice one.

Jack and the Weatherman – Back Home

After two rocking songs from the United States, I head to Europe for this lovely indie-folk-pop song. Jack and the Weatherman is a duo from the Netherlands. They already had a platinum record in their home country. This one could definitely boost their popularity.

Benjamin Amaru – Closer Somehow

The next artist on my list is Swiss Benjamin Amaru. He shared his new track Closer Somehow this week. A nice pop track with folk and singer-songwriter influences.

Joy Crookes – I Know You’d Kill

Joy Crookes is a neo-soul artist from London in England. This week, she shared I Know You’d Will. The song comes with a lovely groove. I feel it is a really lovely listen.

Jetlagged – Roadtrip

Jetlagged describes their music as indie-folkpop. Apart from that, the trio from Frankfurt in Germany is also active on festivals, weddings and similar occasions. A lovely listen with a nice depth.

Robine – Don’t Feel Anything

With Don’t Feel Anything, there is another song from the soul and R&B range this week. I just have very limited information about her, unfortunately. She nowadays lives in Hamburg.

Gestört aber Geil feat. July – Clarity

The German DJ duo Gestört aber Geil joined forces with 19 year old Berlin artist July for Clarity. I initially struggled to add this El Condor Pasa cover, but it simply comes with too good vibes.

Boy Loco – My Soul

Yeah, you might spot some similar tunes in My Soul, but it is finally a really nice summer pop song.  The act is a duo, consisting of Irish Darren Flynn and Welsh Tudor Davies.
