Weird Al Yankovic (Niagara Falls, 5.7.2026)

After i had visited four shows of the Bigger & Weirder Tour in June 2026 already (incl. a show in Alpharetta, Georgia), I headed back to North America for Weird Al Yankovic in early July 2026. Two shows in Canada gave me the significantly easier opportunity to cover a  show with my full camera equipment. After he had played a day before in Windsor, 5th July 2026 featured  another show in Ontario. The comedy singer-songwriter headed on to the OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls. Like during the whole tour, the Flyctory.com Featured Artist was supported by Puddles Pity Party.

This posting comes with 763 major size pictures as part of the concert gallery.

OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino – About The Venue

The OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino is one of the many casino venues in North America. The place is rather modern and had its grand opening in February 2023. Located on Level E of Hilton Niagara Falls, the modern three balcony place comes with a capacity of 5,000 people. The hotel offers rooms with direct view of the Niagara Falls (both, the US and the Canadian side). You typically travel to Niagara Falls by car – there is a bus stop in front of the casino, though (Murray St + Stanley Av, lines 101, 106, 206). There is also a rail connection from Toronto by regional authority GO, which might require a transfer.

Weird Al Yankovic – About The Artists

I featured Weird Al Yankovic a couple of time, especially recently. The comedy singer-songwriter born on 23rd October 1959 in Greater Los Angeles is a US American phenomenon with a huge popularity in North America. Despite his most recent album Mandatory Fun is dated as of 2014, he is able to sell out major arenas even on very extended tours. For example, days before the Niagara Falls show, he played a packed United Center in Chicago. In July 2025, he sold out Madison Square Garden in New York. During his career, he playedover 2,000 live shows and won five Grammy Awards and a star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Just before the show, I published a Song of my Life post about Paul Simon’s You Can Call Me Al, which was highly inspired by a Weird Al concert.

Puddles Pity Party is the support act of the Bigger & Weirder Tour 2025 and 2026. I gave some bio about Michael Geier, which is the civil name of the white, tall, melancholic clown, in my dedicated post about his Alpharetta GA show in May 2026.

Weird Al Yankovic – The Show

The official beginning of the show was 19:00. However, Puddles Pity Party stepped on stage a few minutes earlier. His set was equivalent to the ones he did during the entire Bigger & Weirder Tour. He started with I’m Always Chasing Rainbows (orig. by Henry Carroll) and Come Cry With Me (by Glynn Styler), which he published in 2018 and 2020. For the combined Crazy Train and Message in a Bottle, he borrowed a “guitar player” from the audience.

These episodes of his show are generally especially entertaining. Another song with assistance of a fan was Lob Lobos’ Estoy sentado aqui, where a spectator wore a tequila bottle costume. With Come On Up to the House (Tom Waits), there was another impressing vocal performance by the white clows. At the end of his some 35 minutes set, a fan had the biggest challenge, having to down Ding Dong sweets, which lead to quite some struggle.

Weird Al impressed at Niagara Falls

The intermission took a bit longer than at previous shows, so that the introducing movie started around 19:55. Weird Al Yankovic walked though the audience on stage while performing Tacky with the support of the band on stage. While they had issues transitioning to Mission Statement the day before at Windsor, the Niagara Falls show went smoothly without major incidences. After the “mandatory” polka (Polkarama), a drum solo and Everything You Know Is Wrong, Al went into the audience – just for the ladies – with One More Minute.

My photo time started with Smells Like Nirvana, followed by Dare To Be Stupid and a medley of songs of the entire career of Weird Al. From his very first My Bologna to classics like Eat It or Like a Surgeon, Yankovic and the band underlines their vast versatility. This part closed with Canadian Idiot, before they performed Fat and showcased Al’s recent film and TV appearances with songs like the Captain Underpants theme or Now You Know from his biopic Weird – The Al Yankovic Story. In Niagara Falls, Puddles came back on stage to perform The Turtles’ Happy Together. The ordinary set came slowly to an end with classic tracks like Skipper DaneBayWhite & Nerdy and Amish Paradise.

After replacement keyboarder Chad Thomas had heated up the crowd once more, We All Have Cell Phones was the first full song before the concert took his typical ending – the last two songs were The Saga Begins (supported by the local 501st Legion) and Yoda with the typical chant in between. From the beginning of the introduction until that point, Yankovic and the band had played some 2:10 hrs.

Weird Al Yankovic – My View

The Bigger & Weirder Tour is amazing. I showcases a wide range of Weird Al Yankovic’s work – and also the versatility of the band. The long-time brothers in crime, Jim Kimo West, Steve Jay and John Bermuda Schwatz are the backbone of a great sound, the new band members add a lot to that and Chad Thomas does feel to get closer to Ruben Valtierra day by day.

Monique Donnelly adds vocal depth and does a great performance at Ricky. Payton Rose Velligan might initially feel a bit hidden next to the drum set, but finally does not need a spotlight to be in focus as the young powerhouse of Al’s band. Scheila Gonzales and Probyn Gregory add so many possibilities Yankovic and his band did not have before this two year tour. The more often I see the show, the more I admire the combination of musical excellence and the ease of energy. Unfortunately, the Bigger & Weider Tour might be too ample to ever make it to European or other abroad stages. It’s a shame – more people should be able to enjoy this great production.
