A key mission of traveling to Nashville in late March / early April 2026 was to introduce my wife to Nashville. Apart from some museums, the Broadway and other key sights and places, this of course meant that we visited a couple of country music shows. The more, I was happy that we could meet some friends of mine during the trip. After Sarah and I ran into Jenn Bostic at the Redbird Common Anniversary show, another very dear and close person was on stage the day thereafter. On 1st April 2026, we visited the two hour set of Brittany Brodie at the Hilton hotels at Nashville’s West End. Here is another of my Looking back to… concert reports, coming with Pictured Story-sized pictures and a leaner structure.

Hilton Garden Inn / Home2 Suites Nashville West End Avenue – Location & Tickets
In fact, the gig took place in 1st April at 18:00 in the bar and restaurant area of the Home2 Suites Nashville West End Avenue. However, the same building also hosts the Hilton Garden Inn Nashville West End Avenue. Parking for both hotels is provided by a garage the adjacent Parke West residence and commercial building. The hotels are rather conveniently located at the I-440 Interstate passing the city on the West side. The area is rather residential and commercial, with a few other hotels and services in very close proximity.
The show was a typical hotel / bar gig. The atmosphere was definitely more relaxed compared to Broadway honky-tonks. The drinks from the bar were quite nice – I wouldn’t recommend the restaurant for a romantic dinner, but it gets you filled and the service is nice. On the very positive side, apart from food, drinks and parking (and, of course, tipping the artist…), we did not have any expenses for that gig – the show was free admission and part of a regular Wednesday late afternoon live music series at the hotel.
Brittany Brodie – The Artist
Brittany Brodie is a Canadian country music lady. She is originally from Ontario, but nowadays lives in Nashville. She has released numerous singles, starting with Falling in 2010. Her songs are typically built on a strong energetic voice. The typical set-up of the 1985-born is being accompanied by her husband, Scottish muscian Ewan Barker.
Impressions of the Brittany Brodie in Nashville (1st April 2026)
Brittany’s show was from 18:00 to 20:00, including a some 15 minute intermission in the middle. The show was a typical Nashville bar show, i.e. it majorly consisted of covers. For example, Brittany opened with Jo Dee Messina’s Heads Carolina, Tails California and later featured country classics as well as songs touching other genres like Take It Easy by The Eagles. The attendance was comparably low, with maybe just some 20 to 30 people in the bar and restaurant area, with peaks and lows over the duration of the gig.

I really liked Brittany’s show, driven by her powerful voice. Naturally in a that intimate setting, you do have increased potential to interact with the artist. This may even include requesting other songs. Here and there, you also felt the cruelty of these gigs. People are there to have a bit or a drink and to enjoy yourself. Thus, you either somehow draw their attention or they do what they want to do, including talking about other things – or clapping and laughing in odd situations. That’s the tough faith a Nashville artist on the raise is having. Thus, I was not only happy to run into the lovely Brittany and her husband – it was also a nice choice to show my wife how Music City can really be alike as well.
