For my November 2019 stay in Dubai, I decided to also gain some more experience on the Northern and Eastern parts of the Emirates. A great rate for the Conrad Hotel Dubai gave me an easy choice for accommodation, as I am a Hilton Hotel fan anyway. Here is my review.

Conrad Dubai was my Favorite Hotel in 2019.

 

Conrad Dubai – Location

The hotel is located at the Northern part of the Financial District, right at Sheikh Zayed Road.

It has excellent connections. One nice factor is the metro station right in front of the hotel. It is also a comparably short drive to Dubai International Airport. There are a couple of minor stores around, though there are more restaurants etc. in other parts of the town.

 

Conrad Dubai – Room

I had booked three nights in a King Deluxe Skyline View Room, which is the lowest category of rooms. Including all tax, the pre-paid price was 1620 AED, roghly 400 Euro. Due to my Accor Gold Status at that time, I have been upgraded to the Executive Floor. Funnily, to the height of the building, the Executive Rooms and the Executive Lounge are at the lowest level of guest rooms. Hotel facilities range until the 7th floor – the rooms incept on the 24th one.

The room was spacious and offered a nice view over the Northern part of the Financial district. I loved the nice working desk, the wide bed and the easy to use controls. You could also connect your devices via HDMI or Bluetooh to the TV set. The minibar and snacks were non-complimentary. However, water was refilled rather frequently and a Nespresso machine as a water kettle were also provided.

The bathroom of my room was amazing. The bathtub was behind a glass window. The TV program could be transferred to a small screen close to the tub. There was a separate show and an own room for the toilet. All necessary amenities have been provided by the hotel.

As said, I really enjoyed the view from the room, especially during morning and evening times.

 

Conrad Dubai – Executive Lounge

Right across my hotel room was the huge Executive Lounge, which featured a wide glass front and plenty of opportunities to sit down. It even features a small meeting room. I had a lovely time any time I went for the lounge – apart from once, when the crew of a German travel portal just felt to have their meetings in the lounge too loudly.

The meals provided in the lounge were very nice as well. The lounge is serving breakfast, afternoon tea and some evening snacks with cocktail reception. I especially liked breakfast, which had a very good quality.

 

 

Conrad Dubai – Breakfast / Food

Apart from one morning, where I went for the breakfast in the Exeuctive Lounge, I decided to take the large buffet breakfast on the 6th floor of the hotel. I am a huge Dubai breakfast fan, as you very often meet so many different cuisines. At the Conrad, there is maybe slightly less Indian and East Asian food than in other places, but overall, they offer a great selection with a couple of live cooking stations – not just omelettes, but also some pancake and similar food.

Of course, there are other hotel restaurants available. I, hoever, did not try any of them.

 

Conrad Dubai – Pool, Gym & Fitness

The pool area close to the breakfast / buffet restaurant is just a beauty. It may be rather challenging if you feel to have a sportive swim, but that is just due to the layout. The pool is quite large and also offers a lot of opportunities to relax on your own, in and out of the water.

The FItness and Spa Area was a beauty as wll. First, I had a glimpse into the gym, which is really large and offers different kind of machines. By the way, the design in the reception area is beautiful.

The Jacuzzi, sauna and steam bath area of the spa is free for hotel guests. Of course, there is a strict separation of male and female clients. I am not too much of a spa person, but I just enjoyed relaxing in this beautiful atmosphere.

 

Conrad Dubai – Other Services

The welcoming at check-in was very friendly – the receptionist even spoke some German. All the services were excellent, including the accurate house keeping. I also did not have any issues with the wireless internet in the room and around the hotel.

 

Conrad Dubai – My View

Conrad Dubai was definitely a great stay. I absolutely enjoyed every second, from the room itself, the food, the people and the great services up to the lovely relaxing facilities. The price was amazing so that I got a really good value for money. No doubt that I would absolutely recommend this place and call it a Top Pick!
