One of the hotels my wife and I stayed in for two nights in December 2024 in Dubai has been an Accor Hotels option. The Pullman Dubai Creek City Centre did not only give us a nice price, but also comes with a good location close to Deira and adjacent to a mall. Here is my review of the two night stay.

Pullman Dubai Creek City Centre – Location

The hotel is located at the Southeast edge of the City Centre Deira mall. Thus, it is close to Dubai International Airport (DXB) and the historic city center. The mall is providing a nice range of services for travelers. Among other services, there is a supermarket, multiple restaurants, a cinema and a nice variety of shops. Like the Aloft Dubai Creek hotel, it is directly connected to the mall, which makes it even more convenient. The mall entrance has limited hours, though.

City Centre Deira Mall is directly conected to the Dubai Metro system. City Centre Deira is served by the red line, which also connects to the airport and other key attractions like The Dubai Mall with Burj Khalifa and the Mall of the Emirates.  Thus, it is very convenient if you don’t want to rent a car. The road access to the hotel is a bit of tricky, as you have to in fact drive through the parking facilities of the mall. The directions are not always ideally signed. There is complimentary valet parking.

Pullman Dubai Creek City Centre – Room

My wife and I had two nights at the Pullman Dubai Creek City Centre, Saturday to Monday in late December 2024. The flexible rate was not public. We opted for the half board upgrade (85 AED per person and day), which we used for dinner. Breakfast could only be taken in the Executive Lounge. We upgraded that for the second night. We also received the room category we booked, just a few doors away from the Executive Lounge. The room was reasonable in size, a bit on the small side and just managed to hold our three suitcases. Most of the well-spread power outlets in the room had universal format, the ones at the bed also had USB ports. Water in glass bottles has been provided. I liked the large work desk. The room also featured a mini bar with rather aggressive pricing.

The bathroom featured a combined bathtub and shower. Unfortunately, the glass door protecting the shower had a couple of gaps from the wall and he bathtub, so that you more or less inevitably flood the bathroom while going for your personal hygiene. The area around the sink was very nice and had quite some space, also for your toiletries. Apart from standard amenities in dispensers and a bar of soap, there was an amenity kit below it. On the opposite side, there was the toilet and the bidet. Unfortunately, the toilet was very close to the wall, so that it was a bit of narrow and inconvenient to use it. Maintenance and cleanliness of the room was really good, though.

Pullman Dubai Creek City Centre – Executive Lounge

Right opposite the elevators on the eleventh floor, there is the Executive Lounge of the Pullman Dubai Creek City Centre. It is not that large, but worked out well all the time during our visit. We did not manage visiting the happy hour, but it was really cozy during breakfast and just hanging out. The service was really good as well and the windows offered some nice Dubai views. There is also a separate room, which was shown as being reserved.

Pullman Dubai Creek City Centre – Breakfast / Food

The first morning, we had breakfast at the lounge. The service was limited, especially on the bread side. Egg dishes are done on demand. My Eggs Benedict were excellent. Sarah had a bad piece of pineapple in her fruit, which was of course disgusting. There was also no proper bread, no croissants, which was a bit of strange.

I was curious about the breakfast buffet, so we had that the second morning. The buffet, which lead to a lower surcharge, was actually quite nice. It has been not as posh as you may have in other Dubai hotels, but it came with a nice selection and a live cooking station for egg dishes. Eggs Benedict, though are given in the lounge only. There were also some other items like small glasses of yogurts or salmon, which are exclusive for the lounge breakfast.

Pullman Dubai Creek City Centre – Dinner

The half board dinner is served as a buffet in the breakfast restaurant. On both evenings, there was rice, a biryani, an Indian curry, a fried dish with potatoes or fries and some more Western style dishes. The salad buffet was really nice and there was also a nice selection of tarts as well as fruit salad for dessert. Soft drinks were included in the half board arrangement. While the service was really good on the first night, the second one was disgusting. Basic services like refilling your water or removing used dishes just did not work. The pictures have been taken on the first night only.

Pullman Dubai Creek City Centre – Service

Apart from the second evening dinner experience, I really liked the staff in the Pullman Hotel. I had some trouble understanding the person at check-in, though. WiFi worked very fine overall. The gym is located in the seventh floor and actually quite nice. You reach the rooftop pool on the eighth floor from a designated elevator nearby. This felt a bit of strange, but the pool area is really nice and gave some interesting views of the area.

Pullman Dubai Creek City Centre – My View

I feel that the Pullman has a lot of features, which could turn it into a really nice and favorable place. The located with the direct mall access is very helpful for tourists, public transport is not too far away. Driving to the hotel is a bit of tricky and there were some service issues. Especially based on the price the hotel is typically demanding, I would have expected a bit more than I got, though. Thus, I rather see the Pullman as a solid choice than as a really good one.
