My Friday at Country To Country 2026 in Berlin (6th March 2026)

After my 2025 coverage of the Country To Country Festival has been just too hard and exhausting for me, I went for another concept for the 2026 festival. Instead of sharing two posts per festival day, I reduced my coverage to one. Furthermore, I did not go for the Bluebird Cafe session on Thursday, so that my C2C 2026 coverage starts with the first day of the festival, Friday. The post will be a bit more like a diary style. Hope you enjoy.

This posting comes with 1,447 major size pictures in the C2C 2026 Berlin section of the concert galleries.

C2C Berlin 2026 – Day 1 – The Lineup

The key part of the C2C in Berlin to me is the daytime part. There are so many artists, you can commute between the different stages, which are all in one place. They are smaller like in London, but the proximity feels unbeatable. Already in the morning, there were some interesting acts. Nathan Evans Fox more or less opened the main part of the festival on Pindeck Stage in the bowling alley (all other acts started at least five minutes later…). I was especially looking forward to see (to me) new acts like Australian Max Jackson, and of course good old friends. I ran into Tyler Sjöström and Kenny Foster on Thursday already – their Sad Song Society is the hidden gem of the C2C in Berlin.

Some other artists I was looking forward to were Tyler Rich and Kylie Morgan. I featured a Tyler Rich show in Cologne more than six years before. Similarly, I was flattered to see Julia Cole opening main stage. I had seen her in Zurich in 2019 the last time. She was opening for the James Barker Band in that show in Switzerland – and now, in Berlin, they were having their sets one after another again. There are always some interesting and amazing acts you simply run into. However, due to health issues, I wanted to be stricter in regards of my schedule. Thus also meant that I would skip some main stage artists and all Uber Eats Music Hall Spotlight stage features in favor of having more time to relax.

C2C Berlin 2026 – Day 1 – Daytime

I started my day with the very first gig of the day, Nathan Evans Fox on the Pindeck Stage. Before his gig, he already told the audience that if they are looking for happy songs, they might opt for another stage. Additionally, he stated that in the rural areas he is coming from, you either get into religion or into meth – and after he tried the religion thing, he rather left home. Indeed, the songs he presented were not meant to party. I especially liked his Landlords, Bill Lee, etc.. Heading to the next stage, I ran into Kenny Foster and had a brief catchup with him.

It has just been a short walk from the Pindeck Stage in the major movie theater to the Via Broadway one, located right below in a pizzeria place. I wanted to catch some songs of Sid Bader songs in there. Apart from some originals, he also played his Jungle Book cover I wanna be like you, which definitely gave some morning energy. I really liked his set. In general, the 2026 C2C in Berlin featured more German-singing artists than previous year, which I definitely appreciate. I stayed at the same place in order to have my very first on stage impression by Kylie Morgan. Such an impressing artist, who also played her new single 1-(800) Dumo Him. If you read this post around the time of writing, you find it in my Country Music Playlists. It’s a bit of sad that I typically cannot attend the full sets at these occastions, as I really liked songs like Sugar Daddy.

Running into a German artist

I wanted to head back to the cinema, when I heard country music in German. Anne West was at the Town Square stage, the only stage, which is free for public. A really nice and energetic experience, before I took the elevator to the fifth floor of the movie theater, The Sound of Nashville stage with its typical, plushy seats is like the most comfortable venue of the whole festival – and I stayed there for the next two sets. First, there was a songwriter round with Max JacksonKalsey Kulyk and Tyler Rich. Tyler told the audience that his best friend is from Cologne and, as he has been his best man, he needed to learn some German for the wedding speech. The three artists presented a nice selection of songs, which felt even more personal as both, Tyler and Max once forgot the lyrics of the songs they wanted to present. Max even had to have somebody holding a cell phone with the lyrics. Kalsey had the emotional highlight of the show. At Til I get to heaven, she shared that she had to fight cancer in late teenage years. Later, she performed With songs like Love me like an outlaw (by Kalsey Kulyk) and Little More Country (by Max Jackson), there were also some easier and more fun listens.

I stayed at the stage, waiting for what’s the real highlight to me at a C2C in Berlin. Kenny Foster and Tyler Sjöström invited for another Sad Song Society round.  The third artist was Nathan Evans Fox, who had his debut in it and thus kicked off the round. The trio did not disappoint. Songs like Tyler’s Red River are simply impressing and don’t get that much space in other occasions of a festival.

I left a bit earlier to see the last songs of Tyla Rodrigues on Pindeck Stage. I really liked her energy while performing. After that, I had a quick break, having some drinks and food in the hotel room.

Packed Alex Stage

The break was not too long – and soon I headed on to the Alex Stage. The restaurant was absolutely packed so that I just had a few minutes there. Really a shame, as Emily Ann Roberts felt having an amazing set. After watching some people line dancing in front of Town Square Stage, before I headed back to the Pindeck one. I just came in for the Dancing Queen country-alike cover by Max Jackson, which is really awesome. The only song thereafter was A Little More Country. Back at Town Square I had a quick impression of Jake Banfield before having a chat with some colleagues from German country media and some promoters.

C2C Berlin 2026 – Day 1 – Uber Eats Music Hall

Part of my work reduction strategy for the 2026 C2C was to skip the Spotlight Stage in the center of Uber Eats Music Hall and rather concentrate on some artists on main stage. I was absolutely looking forward to Julia Cole, who did a nice set.

However, the James Barker Band thereafter was much more catching set. They are really great and I loved watching a bit more of their performance before heading back to the hotel. Songs like Over All Over Again or Keep It Simple drove the Berlin audience. I decided to skip Waylon Wyatt and – even though I would have loved to see him – Jackson Dean. I already had over 7,000 pictures of the day on my memory cards and just felt I needed a rest and some time to prepare my night shift work.

Scotty McCreery closed the First Day with a Blast

However, I came back to the venue for Scotty McCreery. He did an amazing, fluent set. Even though I was, indeed, already quite tired, I absolutely loved his fast, fluent set. Apart from originals, he also played some interesting covers like Suspicious Minds by Elvis Presley or Tom Petty’s I won”t Back Down. People were dancing, singing and partying, so that I felt that this is a good thing to keep in mind before getting back to the hotel and work on my reports.
