Jessica Lynn (Song of My Life Show, Erftstadt, 12th August 2024)

After featuring the Giovanni Zarrella concert the week before, another very special show was on my list on 12th August 2024. Jessica Lynn was back in Europe. After having tour dates in France and Switzerland before, she headed to Erftstadt Southwest of Cologne in Germany. The show was a very special one. First of all, it was a house concert style show. Additionally, the show was streamed live by the online music channel MUXX.tv. I really looked forward to that one.

This posting comes with 724 major size pictures as part of the concert gallery.

MUXX.tv – About The Project

MUXX.tv is an online broadcasting channel driven by Martin Ernst in Erftstadt. It typically features a daily schedule kicking off at 18:00 German time. The channel is featuring a wide range of genres. Jessica Lynn’s show was part of the Songs of My Life series, which is featuring numerous similar shows on the channel

Jessica Lynn – About The Artist

Jessica Lynn is a US-American country and country rock artist. Born in 1990 in New York City, she is active as a musician since 2006. She is typically touring with family members and friends, who is forming her bands. In March 2023, I I introduced you to her in one of my Spotlight interviews. Jessica Lynn is a Featured Artist of Flyctory.com.

Jessica Lynn – The Show

The show was a live broadcast and thus started right in time at 20:00. It was split into three sections with some ten minute breaks in between. The beautiful living room, which comes with in impressive technical equipment, was packed, majorly with locals, which lead to a very familiar atmosphere. There were even free drinks and some snacks around – Martin and the Muxx.tv team really do an impressing job. Even though most of the viewers in the room did not feel to be exposed to country music, Jessica Lynn quickly caught their attention. She started the set with Gettin’ Around It and Something ‘Bout You. Apart from her own songs, she also added covers to the set, like Dolly Parton’s legendary 9 to 5, which opened the second set of the show.

Jessica felt very happy in the intimate atmosphere, she and her family band felt being really happy to play this show. Jessica stated that Germany is one of our favorite places. The atmosphere got heated up, not only due to the (for German relations) enormous summer eat. Jessica played songs like Now or Never or Better Than That, before she introduced her band to the people and viewers of the live stream. One of the highlights was host Martin joining her on the piano, performing a lovely version of John Lennon’s Imagine.

Surprise Guests in Erftstadt

The Erftstadt show also showed some people on stage (or: the living room floor), which you typically don’t see joining her. First of all, there was her Belgian co-writer Guy Balbeart, also known under the artist name Guy Read, who joined her with the harmonica for a couple of songs. After Jessica rocked with the audience taking them to her Roadhouse, she asked (or urged) her sister to join the stage as well. Being a bit of shy initially, she really added a nice touch to the encore Jailhouse Rock, which the band even played twice. Thus, they broke the curfew in the residential area (22:00) by a few minutes, but left the Rheinland region people with a smile and great memories of a unique concert. Martin also did the organ in the final section of the show.

Jessica Lynn – My View

Large stages or intimate shows like this one – Jessica Lynn and her band just can do all of them! The show was definitely memorable, I felt really gifted to be part of it. Thus, please excuse the massive number of pictures in this report. As much as you have to love the artist for the show, you have to leave your kudos for the hosts. Martin and her family / team were really amazing. I definitely hope to be able to cover some more of their shows. The Muxx.tv show rather felt like a musical evening with a lot friends than a show – even though Jessica did another really amazing and professional performance.
