Flyctory.com Pros

  • Beautiful, uplifting songs
  • Versatile range of tracks

Right before Jenn Bostic is having a couple of shows in the United Kingdom, the US-American singer-songwriter is releasing new music. On 14th February 2025, the Flyctory.com Featured Artist releases the EP Love You Right. I was, of course, keen on reviewing it.

Jenn Bostic – About The Artist

Jennifer Christiana Bostic was born on 3rd January 1986 in Philadelphia. She grew up in Waconia in Minnesota. Her father James Regan Bostic was killed in a car accident, which lead to her decision becoming a musician as well. Later in 2012, she released the song Jealous of the Angels, which deals with that blow of fate. The song is a Song of my Life and has been her most prominent song.  Jenn moved to Nashville to pursue her musical career. In 2009, she released her debut album Keep Lookin for Love. She more and more moved from countrypop to Christian music. So far, se released five albums and two EPs.

Jenn Bostic – Love You Right – Track by Track

The five track EP lasts 15 minutes.

1 Love You Right

The title track is a lovely, groovy track, which works with brass elements and very present rhythm. Jenn Bostic is combining her uplifting messages with a catching sound, which leads to a very present and good listen.

2. Imma Shake It Up

Imma Shake It Up is one of the slower songs of Love You Right. The song has a blues touch and comes with a nice groove. I need a new addiction, I’m on a mission to shake it up. The song is about splitting up from a person who treats you badly. The choir-alike backing vocals lead to a really nice touch. Really nice one.

3. Don’t Give Up On This

Don’t Give Up On This, promise me you won’t let go so quick is almost whispered by Jenn Bostic in this song. Apart from this quiet moment, the song is coming with a rather wide instrumentation. Especially the strings in the background and the additional vocalist lead to an amazing presence. The plot of the song leads to a wonderful listen.

4. Just Keep Steppin’

Brass sounds open Just Keep Steppin’. The song comes with a lovely groove and some gospel-style elements. The song comes with such a high level of energy, you just have to join in when she states Say brother or sister, if you’re with me, clap your hands. This one is really catching and energizing. An amazing, uplifting song.

5. Beautiful Becoming

Becoming is a rhythmic, piano-driven track. Jenn Bostic’s high voice is beautifully presenting the uplifting track, which also has some more quiet moments. A really nice one with a beautiful melody at the end of the EP

Jenn Bostic – Love You Right – My View

I rarely know an artist who is able to do that touching, uplifting music. Jenn Bostic did another masterpiece in that regard with Love You Right. The songs are spiritual and mental, but not that straight in a religious message (what I personally appreciate). It is much easier to smile after having listened to these fifteen minutes. I love her for that – and look forward to her upcoming shows.

Favorite Song: Just Keep Steppin’
