Due to the late cancellation of the C2C festivals in London, Dublin and Glasgow and all the organizational trouble caused by the Corona crisis, my favorite songs of the Country to Country festivals for 2020 is comparably late. In fact, of course, I am just listing artists and songs in here which I especially liked during the C2C Berlin 2020. I also mixed this list with the most impressive performances in the German capital.
My favorite C2C: Country To Country Songs 2020
Jimmie Allen & Abby Anderson – Shallow
Maybe one of the most impressive moments in Berlin: Jimmie Allen gets back Abby Anderson on stage to play their version of Shallow. Really amazing performance and Shallow-ism at its best.
Caylee Hammack – Family Tree
Caylee Hammack was definitely some of the absolute winners of the C2C in Berlin. What an amazing stage presence, so much power – just a lot of fun. Hope to see her on stage again soon.
Kyle Daniel – Born To Lose
I feel I am not too wrong when I call Kyle Daniel the crowd favorite on the male side, at least at the non-headliner artists. An amazing voice, great songs and songwriting, very intimate and catching performances.
Charles Esten – A Road and a Radio
As I already wrote in my sumup of Sunday Main Stage in Berlin, the performance of Charles Esten was definitely the biggest fun to take pictures during the three song period in the photo pit. Great performance, superb light, a lot of power… I just loved Esten on stage, who I so far just saw in acoustic sets.
The Cadillac Three – Crackin’ Cold Ones With the Boys
Some visitors complated that The Cadillac Three are not country music – all the others had a great party with the three boys. Crackin’ Cold Ones With the Boys is one of the most recent songs by the trio, but also one of the best. Nice country party song!
Kassi Ashton – Field Party
Kassi Ashton was one of the biggest surprises to me. I loved her performances – an amazing stage presence and superb interaction with the crown. Field Party is a good one for a long party night.
Runaway June – Head Over Heels
Having only Jennifer and Naomi on stage, Runaway June also impressed as a duo in Berlin. Head over Heels is one of the classics of the three ladies, who played a great set in Berlin.
Filmore – Blue Skies
Profiting from the withdrawal of Old Dominion, Filmore was undoubtedly the proudest artist on main stage, not only on Day 2. He was one of the most honest and friendly persons around Verti music hall. Glad to have enjoyed this artist in Berlin, who has a lovely song with his Blue Skies.
