Flyctory.com Songs Of The Week (week of 19th December 2025)

My list of new songs gets more and more… intimate… these days. As of the last week before Christmas, I was just able to nominate five tracks for my Songs of the Week… but they are indeed some fine ones. Hope you enjoy this list of new songs – coming with a quite wide range of genres and origins. Merry Christmas everyone!

Cray – Falling Asleep

Cray has been deemed to be one of the most promising bands from Switzerland in the mid-2010’s. They had a radio hit, Another, released a debut album in 2017 and since then just have scattered single releases. Falling Asleep is the first single release by the quintet since more than two years.

Jens Buchert – Shadows

Jens Burchert is a well-known German producer in lounge, dub and ambient music. This week, he released his new solo single, Shadows.

Beard Meats Food – Sweet Little Chippy Tea

In fact, this song does not really qualify for this week’s Songs of the Week. Beard Meats Food released it last Friday already. The British is extremely popular on YouTube for entertaining food challenge videos, which are watched by millions. However, once a year, he is releasing a charity music track. The proceedings are donated to the Stroke Association. I love his videos and just have to support him in this way.

Midnight Spectra – Fading Shadows

Midnight Spectra is a project by Northern German producer Thomas Kleeblatt. I really like Fading Shadows – the synth pop track has a nice touch.

Myrath – The Funeral

I always love running into the Tunisian metal band Myrath. This week, they released another really cool single, The Funeral. Look forward to what is coming up next.
