So far, Niko Moon has been really successful in country music business. After releasing an album early this year, he is back with a four track EP at the end of 2024. On 22nd November 2024, he published These Are The Nights. I had a listen.

Niko Moon – These Are The Nights – Track by Track

The four track EP lasts 12 minutes

1. Money Can’t Buy

The opener has been the only song released before the EP. The song had reasonable success – if you don’t compare to Moon’s biggest tracks. The song is a typical modern country-pop one. The chorus spreads country vibes, while the chorus rather comes with hip hop elements. The groove of the song is catching, though.

2. Summer Don’t Go

Summer don’t go without a barefoot night
Summer don’t go without tequila and lime
Summer don’t go without some bait on a string
Summer don’t go without a summer fling
All this salt in the air
All this ain’t got a care
Has got me thinking summer don’t go
Summer don’t go nowhere

No hip hop in here, so that modern country music listeners, who favor melodic songs, will likely enjoy this one. Writing this having snow after having snow last night, I guess that this message to the weather comes a bit too late. It’s getting cold outside – but Niko Moon spreads some sunny vibes in this song. A really nice listen.

3. Head Above The Water

I’m just trying to keep my head above
The water and my feet down in the sand
I might have a million problems
But right now it ain’t my tan

The third song on These Are The Nights is mainly driven by the acoustic guitar. The remaining instruments are rather quiet, especially in the verses. Nonetheless, Head Above The Water continues with spreading summer vibes. The whistling in the background leads to additional joy and ease.

4. Night’s Still Young

The four track EP closes with Night’s Still Young. After the rather quiet predecessor, this song presents full guitar power. A lovely track, which is rather leaning towards country-rock. I really like it.

Niko Moon – These Are The Nights – My View

Even though the summer vibes feel a bit out of season, I really enjoyed listening to These Are The Nights. Niko Moon is presenting four very different songs on his latest EP, making it an enjoyable and entertaining listen. I definitely recommend having a listen.
