Khorfakkan Amphitheatre & Waterfall – Location & Transport

The Khorfakkan Amphitheater and the Waterfall are next to each other, on the Southern edge of Al Metalaa Park. If there is no event in the theater, parking along the Rugaylat Rd Corniche Street is very easy and free.

At some times, you can get into the theater and climb up the stairs. I just watched the impressive building from outside. For that (and, of course, in order to enjoy the view of the waterfall, there is neither an admission nor opening or access times. The theater is also running a restaurant. Along the main road / S104, you also find some other services and snack opportunities. Across the street, there is Khorfakkan Public Beach.

Views of Khorfakkan Amphitheatre

The Roman-style amphitheater is build right at a hill. It has a capacity of 3,500 spectators with the stage facing towards the main street. The theater has a cooling mechanism in case of events, so that the sunny location is bothering less. I really liked the mixture of Roman and Arabian architectural elements at this place.

Views of Khorfakkan Waterfall

The 45 meter high artificial waterfall is an iconic place. Unfortunately, you need to cross the street to have a really good view of the water crashing down into the small pool at the bottom. Both places are illuminated in darkness. I visited the place around noon, though.
