Hilton Garden Inn Orlando At Sea World

I originally booked a Home 2 Suites close to one of the Premium Outlets, but a very competitive rate made me move to the Hilton Garden Inn Orlando At Sea World for my August trip to Florida in August 2019.

HGI Orlando Sea World – Location

The hotel is just one block away from Sea World. There is also a short drive to the Interstate and to International Drive. The Vineyard Premium Outlets, which I highly favor, also also in close distance. Thus, this area is my preferred one when staying in Greater Orlando.

There are a lot of restaurants and other facilities in the area. However, in direct walking distance, there are just two restaurants, a 7Eleven and a CVS. The hotel itself offers food, of course.

HGI Orlando Sea World – Room

I had a very competitive rate for the hotel during my August 2019. Three nights over the weekend were 235 USD including tax for a Queen Bed room. The room definitely met all my expectations easily. It was comparably spacious, so that I had no problem to put my luggage somewhere. The workdesk had a good size and everything was very functional.

The bathtub bathroom was clean and nice size as well. It contained the standard Hilton Garden Inn amenties.

HGI Orlando Sea World – Breakfast

The hotel breakfast was slightly different than I had it at other Hilton Garden Inns at Tupelo and Preston. There was still a buffet and a made to order part, but the orders were taken at the kitchen desk, not at the waiters. The hotel offers a nice variety, especially on the fruit and pastry side. The warm buffet part did not rotate (at least I did not see a change). The staff was very kind. The omelette to order was good as well – on Sunday, though (which might be the peak day of visiting), the waiting time for it was too long (over 20 minutes).

HGI Orlando Sea World – Services

Though I was very late after flight delays due to weather, the check-in was effective and very friendly. I felt welcome from the very first moment. The hotel is a Sea World partner hotel so that you get discounts and certain amenities at the park. SeaWorld is my favorite one in Orlando – I reviewed the SeaWorld Christmas celebrations in the park on flyctory.com already.

The internet connection was very good. I was also very pleased with the other services like a compact, but quite nice gym and the nice and quite spacey outdoor pool with seating area. The pool is right next to the large parking lot, but very nicely done. I liked the house keeping. However, the gangways should maybe be better checked and cleaned, when necessary. There were some obvious, though minor, issues – for example tableware lying on the floor for over ten hours or a “wet paint” sign, which has not been removed for quite a long time.

HGI Orlando Sea World – My View

Not just if you want to go to Sea World, this Hilton branch hotel offers an absolute nice value for money. The staff was very friendly, the location is good and overall, there was a good performance in all categories. The pool is really nice, even though located right next to the parking lot. Having short connections to the key attractions was a plus. Bad luck that there were these service lacks mentioned above.
