The Austrian artist PAENDA made it into my Songs of the Week multiple times. On 13th March 2026, she released her new EPToo Young To Feel Old, Too Old To Feel Young. A good opportunity to feature her in a review.

Paenda – About The Artist

Paenda is an Austrian pop music artist born on 25th January 1988. Her civil name is Gabriela Horn, she is originally from Deutschlandsberg in Styria. Paenda became famous when she represented Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2019. Her boyfriend competed in the same competition in 2012. So far, there are six Paenda albums and EPs. The latest one has been Call Me Cat in 2023. The same year, she released the song Break My Stride together with Filip Capella. It is her most successful track so far.

Paenda – Too Young to Feel Old, Too Old to Feel Young – Track by Track

The seven track EP lasts 19 minutes.

1. Forever 28

I’m too you to feel old – I wished I could still relate to the feeling Paenda expresses in the opener. Unfortunately, it is just one out of two songs which have not yet been published. The song is a pumping electronic dance track – and a lot of fun listening to.

2. Her On My Mind

Now, the EP presents presents five already released songs. The song stays in the dance pop range. However, the speed is slower and the bass drum is not that intense. Thus, the song overall has a more gentle signature.

3. Hand to the Heart

Hand to the Heart comes with a nice, catching melody at the beginning. The song has Americana vibes, even though the chorus is heading back into the dance pop sphere, presenting predominantly electronic sounds.

4. Pretty Good

Pretty Good is a song full of confidence. The catch phrase I feel pretty, I feel good comes back again and again, leading to a mantra-alike feeling. This also leads to a catching and present pop track.

5. Better Days

In regards of the melody and the plot, Better Days reminds me of Hand to the Heart. It is simply pleasant listening to Paenda and her music, who is presenting another melody which stays in your mind.

6. Fires

While the dance beat of her pop songs dominate Too You To Feel Old, Too Old To Feel Young, Paenda shows a very different side of her music now. The piano ballad Fires comes with a beautiful melody. She is definitely warming my heart with this song.

7. That’s That

The closing That’s That is another dance track. However, it again comes with some nice message. Furthermore, the song is rather gentle – nonetheless, it does come with very catching moments as well.

Paenda – Too Young to Feel Old, Too Old to Feel Young – My View

I really like this dance pop album. Unfortunately, Paenda solely shares two new songs in here, but the seven tracks are compact, entertaining and make you dance and feel with the Austrian. Thus, Too Youn To Feel Old, Too Old To Feel Young is definitely within the expected.

Favorite Song: Forever 28
