Rock Meets Country 2025 (Day 3, 28th September 2025)

On Sunday, it was Nashville Night in Sempach. Rock Meets Country already started in the earlier afternoon (as on Saturday). Naturally, this was the day I was looking forward to the most – not only as Chelsea Berman had her very first onstage appearance on European soil. I finally separated her show due to capacity reasons. Overall, it was a really interesting day in Switzerland. Due to all the live coverages this week, excuse my very late final coverage of the festival and the day, which I expected to be the highlight of the weekend.

This posting comes with 729 major size pictures as part of the concert gallery.

Rock Meets Country 2025, Day 3 – About The Artists

With a scheduled closing of 22:00, the third day in Sempach was significantly shorter than the days before. Similar to the Sound of Nashville Festival in Cologne, there were also some line dancing workshops in parallel. Two of the main acts share the same surname. However, according to my information country singer-songwriter Lexi Tucker and country-rap/rock artist Kendall Tucker, originally from Florida, are not related. The key artist to me was obviously Chelsea Berman, though. The Australian country and pop artist has been part of the Flyctory.com coverage for years and became and close and beloved contact in the Australian music scene to me.

Main Stage Lineup (without Line Dance sections)
14:45 Heinz Flueckiger Swiss country musician, who is typically on stage with his band The Cool Bunch
15:40 Marc Amacher Swiss bluesrock artist. 2nd placed at The Voice of Germany in 2016
16:50 Lexi Tucker US country singer-songwriter, who is originally from Oregon
18:40 Chelsea Berman Australian country and pop artist from Sydney (separate post)
20:30 Kendall Tucker US-American country-rap artist, originally from Florda

Rock Meets Country 2025, Day 3 – The Shows

Heinz Flueckiger and his band The Cool Bunch opened the country music day in Sempach at 14:30. Their style was a rather traditional country music one. They were very energetic and warmed up the Swiss crowds with a cool sound. In between the acts, the organizers held multiple line dancing sessions. You find some views of that in my atmosphere post about the festival. The second artist of the day was another local, Marc Amacher. His very rough and characteristic blues-rock his not really Nashville Night music, but he has been an absolute treat throughout the festival – and so was his only set on the Rock meets Country main stage. Such a whole-blooded, energetic musician – I hope to feature a solo show of him in the near future. He started at 15:40 and was on stage for roughly one hour.

At about 17:00, Lexi Tucker was the next artist on stage. She represented a very pop-ish, modern country music style with a mixture of originals and covers. Sempach absolutely appreciated her sound. The hall was likely the fullest the whole day, she received a lot of applause and really did a convincing set. Thereafter, there was Chelsea Berman’s appearance, which you find in a separate post. Last, but not least, there was Kendall Tucker. Even though the audience felt to have decreased, maybe also because of three long festival days, he was an absolute blast and showed a great performance on stage. Unfortunately, Lexi Tucker did not join him on stage in Sempach, in contrast to other shows they did together. However, his brother sang with him during a Luke Combs cover. He was a worthy finale of three intense days at the Rock Meets Country.

Rock Meets Country 2025 – My View of the Festival

The first day of Rock Meets Country 2025 felt to be a blast. A sold out, packed Festhalle, great music – but also still quite some issues. It was the first time the team drove this festival, so that issues were neither unexpected nor really worrying. That’s what happens in these kind of major events. Then you have a debrief of the first day, do things better on the second day… and already have a quite good last day finally. However, that’s exactly what Rock Meets Country failed about in its debut edition. The staff was too busy to significantly improve. There were also obvious issues like multiple blocked emergency exits, no security in the venue hall itself and other things.

Bad luck, the beautiful (even though: limited to the capacity of the venue) setting in Sempach, great and motivated people and a lovely setting could establish this concept into a classic of the Swiss festival scene. There are long-term plans with that event, which has a lot of potential to become a big one within the next years.
