Flyctory.com Pros

  • Very characteristic sound
  • Very well written, atmospheric indie-folk songs
  • Harmonic and gentle listens

My vision is to create a space with my music for you, to sense your sensitivity and depth – that’s how Ines Linn is describing the mission of her music. On 26th June 2026, the German artist is sharing her debut EP. I had a listen to it.

Ines Linn – About The Artist

Ines Linn is an indie-folk musician, who is originally from Hamburg. Nowadays, she is based North of Frankfurt. She already started writing songs in early youth days. After visiting New Zealand, she decided to write in English. Soon thereafter, she founded the folk band Settlelight. On 6th May 2026, she released her debut single as a solo artist, Bewildered Heart. It is part of this EP.

Ines Linn – All Oceans – Track by Track

The six song EP lasts 24 minutes.

1. Bewildered Heart

The EP starts with the only single release so far, Bewildered Heart. After a half a minute instrumental beginning, Ines Linn’s voice steps in. The press kit describes that her vision is giving voice to the quiet ones. That’s a good description for the unagitated, but very atmospheric sound of the opener. The melodies are nicely floating, using instruments like a cello, which becomes very present in later parts of the listen.

2. Underwater

The piano feels to start Underwater with a waltz-around rhythm. However, like in the song before, the melodies and the plot of the song is more complex. Again, the song is calm, but introduces new elements throughout the listen. A very catching part, for example, is a guitar solo rather at the beginning of the album. The listening experience on the vocal as well as on the instrumental side, defines this beautiful song.

3. Hero

Hero is the third song of the EP. Whole the other songs roughly last four minutes, the one is a bit shorter, 3:28 minutes. The rhythm kicks off rather early, which leads to a certain ease. The style of the song stays in line with the songs before. Nonetheless, it stays interesting and is a good song.

4. All Oceans

The chorus of All Oceans is likely the most beautiful on the EP. The title track strikes with lovely melodic arrangements, in which the piano and cello take the lead. The fine and high voice creates a nice counterpart to that. Overall, it is a lovely listen.

5. Two Individuals

Two Individuals comes with a darker, mysterious atmosphere. This leads to an even more intense listen. Ines Linn sounds fragile, vulnerable. I especially like the the groove and rhythm of the chorus.

6. The Stars

It’s already over – The Stars is the last song of this release. The harmonic and gentle style of the artist is at its best in here. Thus, it feels like a very suitable way to close the storybook of All Oceans.

Ines Linn – All Oceans – My View

Ines Linn defined her own style, her own kind of music. The songs do follow a similar idea and plot, without being boring or repetitive. You rather get deeper and deeper into the atmosphere these six tracks are given you. A smart and versatile plot within the songs turns All Ocean into a very enjoyable listen.
