Flyctory.com Songs Of The Week (week of 6th June 2025)

As I am majorly busy – and exhausted – from my Six US States and Nashville trip, I am rather thankful that this Songs Of The Week episode will be rather short. There is a prolonged weekend in Germany, which likely leads to a comparably short list of new song releases. Furthermore, I simply did not like the new releases I ran into. Hope you nonetheless like this brief overview.

Muryel – The World’s Greatest Overthinker

Muryel is a German singer-songwriter, who is nowadays living in Berlin. She has an US-American descent. In 2023, she released her first song, Directors Cut. Her new song is beautiful modern pop track with singer-songwriter vibes. I really love it.

Ringelspü – Geh bleib doch do

The Austrian band spread summer vibes with Geh bleib doch do (“Come on, stay there”). The trio is having quite some live dates this summer in Austria and Southern Germany.

Sebastian Niklaus – Prokrastination

Sebastian Niklaus is a singer-songwriter from Greater Karlsruhe in Germany. The very simplified, personal, but also slightly ironic style made me smile from the very first listen. I really like this one.

Heinz Rudolf Kunze feat. Annett Louisan – Dein ist mein ganzes Herz (Duett 2025)

Heinz Rudolf Kunze is an outstanding German rock musicians to me. Dein ist mein ganzes Herz is likely his biggest song. This year, it is having its 40th anniversary. Due to that reason, the artist has recorded this very new version, turning it into a duet alongside Annett Louisan. Yeah, it is somehow a self-cover – but it is definitely an absolute blast.

David Blabensteiner – Liebe in dir

It is more than two years ago since I featured Austrian David Blabensteiner the last time. In my 10 February 2023 Songs of the Week edition, I praised his Herzklopfn. His Liebe in dir (“Love inside you”) is a cool, but also very melodic Austrian pop track.

Flora Falls – Not a Stop Sign

I had two EP reviews by Flora Falls already, Hidden From You (2023) and Ankle Deep (2021). Now, they are taking the necessary steps to release their debut album. Unfortunately, this will take until early 2026. Nonetheless, Not A Stop Sign is a nice feature single released by Australian Brea Robertson and Canadian Dominique Fricot, who live in Berlin.

Meg Pfeiffer feat. Luca Stricagnoli – My Man

Great to have a new song by German artist Meg Pfeiffer. What would be a more suitable guest artist for this track than My Man himself, Pfeiffer’s husband Luca Stricagnoli. A lovely pop track with country music vibes.

Boah Robin! – Basale Instinkte

Boah Robin! is a pop duo. It consists of singer and lyrics writer Robin-Fabian Bovensiepen from Gelsenkirchen and keyboarder and composer Florian Tobias Krämer from Bremen. They are active in the LGBTQ scene and will release their third album later this year. Even though I feel that Basale Instinkte does not reach its full potential, I really love its style.

Mimi Webb – Love Language

There is quite a bunch of acts based in Germany and Austria this time. The more I I love that British Mimi Webb is giving a more international touch. Her Love Language just barely missed being at the very top of my list today.

Alice Cooper – Wild Ones

Not that much rock or hard rock / metal so far – at least Alice Cooper is changing that right at the end of the posting. The US-American legend from Detroit released his Wild Ones this week – and I absolutely loved it!
