Flyctory.com Pros

  • Wide-ranged indie pop sound with good musical quality
  • Two very different sections of the album
  • Nice storytelling

Markus Don Marco Naegele is indeed a very versatile artist, who is surprising with a vast range of new ideas. In 2021, I reviewed his album Gehst Du Mit Mir Unter, which has been released the project Don Marco & Die Kleine Freiheit. In the meantime, he formed a new project, Drug Stop. These share their debut album Love You All The Time on 16th January 2026. Here is my review.

Drug Stop – About The Artists

Markus Don Marco Naegele is a German artist from Munich. After his last two projects released German song, his indie-slacker rock project Drug Stop is using English lyrics.  Unfortunately, I have just very limited information about the lineup of the band.

Drug Stop – Love You All The Time – Track by Track

The eight track album lasts 40 minutes

1. 57 Years

57 Years are my first musical steps into the world of Drug Stop. It is very hard to grasp the first impressions of their music. The opener is a indie-pop track, which also comes with the sway of beach sounds. On the one hand, there is a certain monotony, while the instrumentation still cares for an entertaining listen. In these 57 years, I drank 80,000 beers – cheers!

2. Love You All The Time

The songs of Love You All The Time definitely exceed mainstream radio duration. The title track is no exception from that. It also invests into a longer instrumental intro, before Markus Naegele’s vocals are kicking off. The song has a strong indie touch and almost feels like a psychedelic experience. It is dominated by a slower flow, which underlines a certain level of melancholy.

3. Maybe I’m The Only One For Me

Maybe I’m The Only One For Me is another track with a prolonged intro part. It takes over 80 seconds until the vocals incept. Thereby, the first section feels very monotonous. The song itself does have an interesting character, but I cannot really get into it. It feels too experimental, some parts are hard to bear for me. That’s a real shame, somehow, as the brief chorus does have a nice catch and ease.

4. Heaven

Heaven is the only song featured before album release. Drug Stop released it in December 2025. Especially after listening to the two songs before, you might be a bit confused. The band takes you into this song with very harmonic elements and vocals as well as an intense bass groove. Even though the almost eight minutes total duration leave a lot of space for being virtuous and experimenting with musical ideas, the song keeps a certain level of harmony. I enjoy listening to it.

5. Cutting Crew

The title reminds me of the 1980’s band – but I should not reflect too much about it. With less than three minutes, Cutting Crew is the shortest song of the record. It indeed includes a reference to the band in the chorus. Drug Stop show a very different side of their work. The track is a nicely flowing indie-rocker with a very pop-ish attitude. I am a surprised and a bit of confused, but nonetheless appreciate it. The brass melody in this one adds a lot of character to the song as well.

6. Erase Me

Erase Me opens with a keyboard section. Even though guitars and drums take a stronger role in later parts of the song, the song tfells to take the traditional role of the ballad on this record. However, there is also quite some anger and frustration in its second half. You cannot erase me, Drug Stop state in the lyrics.

7. (You Got The) Money

You got the money, while I got the time is the key message of the penultimate song. Drug Stop feel much more harmonic and melodic in this section of their debut album. I really like that style – especially as it pairs instrumental experience of Don Marco with the mindlessness of a school band. Nice one!

8. Garbage

Love You All The Time closes with Garbage. A sad trumpet theme opens for this farewell. The press kit calls this one a staggering song, which I feel is a quite good description of the mood of this 6:24 minute epic. A melancholic song with nice storytelling.

Drug Stop – Love You All The Time – My View

Love You All The Time feels to split into two sections. The first three songs are very experimental and virtuous. The indie style is extremely present. If you are a bit closer to mainstream listens, you will definitely appreciate the last five songs more. They still show that there is a nice width – and a quite some potential – in this German band. Let’s see how things will develop with Drug Stop.

Favorite Song: Cutting Crew
