Swiss Cup Finals 2025 (Women Small Field): Skorpion Emmental Zollbrück III – Unihockey Berner Oberland III 20-6 (9-2, 5-1, 6-3)

After the men’s small field Ligacup final, the ladies had their decider. The match-up of two third teams of each club, Skorpion Emmental Zollbrück and Unihockey Berner Oberland, might not feel too thrilling at first sight. However, the match was full of nationally and internationally reputed players. Lisa Liechti, Nadia Reinhard, Fabienne Aebi, Tiffany Gerber or Ela Piotrowska have all been high class players during my former unihockey-pics.de years. Even though women’s small field games typically come with a significantly lower score, you could thus definitely expect a very interesting floorball match.

The chances for a thrilling match faded rather quickly, though. in offense as well as in defense UHC BEO struggled completely in the first period. The Skorpions dominated the match and had a 6-0 lead after 15 minutes. Even though the pace of the Skorpions slowed down, the story of the second and third period was equivalent. Remarkably, Fabienne Arm scored four games in a row without an opponents’ goal (24th, 26th, 31st, 36th minute) and was a key player of her team. Here and there, Unihockey Berner Oberland III pulled their goalie, but the match was decided already. Finally, Regula Fuhrer sealed an impressing 20-6 victory for Emmental Zollbrück in the 59th with the last goal of the match.
