Flyctory.com Pros

  • Lovely atmosphere
  • Overall very beautiful listen

Flyctory.com Cons

  • "Just" a (self) cover album

Deluxe versions, self-covers and re-releases are typically not a kind of thing you find on Flyctory.com very often. However, I really liked an initial listen of The Reimagined Session. The 11th July 2025 EP release features songs which Andrew Mitch  has already released – but which now come in a much more calm and relaxed version. Here is my review.

Andrew Mitch – About The Artist

Andrew Mitch is an LGBTQ country and country pop artist. He is original from Steubenville in Kentucky, but moved to Nashville in 2022 to pursue a full time career in music. Especially his first two singles, All In My Head and Wish It was You, had quite decent streaming figures.

Andrew Mitch – The Reimagined Sessions – Track by Track

The five songs EP lasts 20 minutes.

1. Back Home Boy (reimagined)

Already the updated version of Mitch’s Back Home Boy illustrates the direction of this EP. On the instrumental side, there are very limited strings, some piano chords. The song is driven by the artist’s voice. Mitch sounds very emotional, relatable, truthful. This leads to a lovely atmosphere.

2. Wish it was you (reimagined)

The concept of the EP is already clear after the first song. Wish it was you comes with a wider range of notes. This overall leads to a more melodic and virtuous listen. However, the very direct and intimate atmosphere stays.

3. Unapologetic (reimagined)

The third song on the EP is Unapologetic. The release date of the original version is rather recent, at March 2025. The reimagined style creates a magical diversion from the original. To me, it is the most touching listen of this set of five songs.

4. Cowboys and Lonely Crowns (reimagined)

I like the melody line and the story of Cowboys and Lonely ClownsThe reimagined version adds some twenty seconds to the already not that short original. The atmosphere is nice again. Here and there, I struggle with the sound of Andrew Mitch’s voice. But that’s more a matter of taste than an objective thought.

5. Thank God (reimagined)

Mitch saved the maybe the most beautiful melody of The Reimagined Sessions for last. His new version of Thank God is a deserved and beautiful finish of this five songs.

Andrew Mitch – The Reimagined Sessions – My View

The concept of the EP is so simple. Nonetheless, Andrew Mitch creates something very beautiful in his The Reimagined Sessions. The songs create a lovely mood

Favorite Song: Unapologetic
