Run & Fly Meeting Dortmund 2025 – Track Events

In contrast to the rather small range of field events, the Run & Fly Meeting 2025 featured quite a lot of events on the race track. Here is my second report from Dortmund, featuring those track events.

This posting comes with 1200 major size pictures in the sports gallery.

Run & Fly Meeting 2025 – The Track Events

Here are my notes from the track events. Like in the field events section, I concentrate on the results of the senior athletes in the result tables and only mention specific results on the junior side in the text. The order of events is roughly chronological.

60m (Women)

Australian Sam Geddes won the women competition with a time of 7.32 sec. In a stunning A final, she beat Jolina Ernst (TV Wattenscheid) by just a hundredth of a second.

Athlete sec
1st Sam Geddes (AUS) 7.32
2nd Jolina Ernst (GER) 7.33
3rd Jennifer Montag (GER) 7.39

60m (Men)

The 60m sprint races was the only competition which came with heats (and three each) finals. The winner on the men’s side was Jan Eric Frehe (LG Brillux Münster). The senior races were merged with Under 20 and Under 18 races (with separate valuation) on both, men and women, with separate Under 15 and Under 14 races.

Athlete sec

2nd Lennart Hartenberg (GER) 6.68

4x200m Relays

The 4x200m relays on the women side solely featured a race of two teams by the hosting club LG Olympia Dortmund. As the change failed for one of the teams, only their first team finally completed, with a time of 1:44.30 min. On the men’s side, three team competed, with one of the teams being a national Men Under 55 selection.

400m (Women)

The first individual senior races on the oval track were the 400m competitions. The result was determined by times races. The women’s competition on the two lap race was a close battle of Nele Renneberg (TV Herkenrath) and Dominique Veninga (Netherlands). The German was about a tenth of a second faster. A very remarkable result on the Under 18 girls side was by Nortje Dickebohm (Oldenburger TB, 60.28 sec), who beat second placed Amelie Langanke (TV Werne 03) by more than two seconds.

Athlete sec
1st Nele Renneberg (GER) 55.15

Again, there were timed heats, split by target time. The faster races came with pace makers. Olivia Gürth (Silvesterlauf Trier) was the fastest senior woman on the four lap race competition. Remarkably, the fastest race was by Laila Yahyaoui (Netherlands), who competed as a Under 20 athlete. She won her race in 2:06.00 min and was thus more than thirteen seconds quicker than the second-placed in her category. The Under 15 and Under 14 girls winners were Lynn Holtmann (LC Paderborn, 2:26.73 min) and Hannah Hins (U14, SC Hagen-Wildewiese, 2:24.34 min). The biggest smile, however, felt to have Anna Weltz (TV Herkenrath), who won the women’s B final race with a personal best of 2:08.34 min and thus improved her personal best.
