Flyctory.com Songs Of The Week (week of 28th June 2024)

I feature athletics events three weeks in a row before I head to Newport in Rhode Island for tennis coverage. Thus, the weekens are quite busy currently. This week, my Songs of the Week are rather leaning towards rock music again, at least at the beginning of my release radar. Hope you enjoy my song compilation of this week.

Loveless – Heart-Shaped Soul

The alternative rock band Loveless from Los Angeles is about to release their new album Loveless II in September 2024. The feature single Heart-Shaped Soul is definitely promising. My favorite song this week.

Dear Robin – Live/Die

Dear Robin are also about to release a new album. Live/Die is the first single release of the upcoming Timebound. Great song by the rock quintet from Rostock in Germany.

Losing Gravity – Another Day

The Frankfurt-origin band Losing Gravity is touring Germany in September 2024, before they support Molly Hatchet in December 2024. I guess the fans will love this song, when they perform it live on stage.

Picture This – Satellites

Picture This just released a new album, Parked Car Conversations, in April 2024. Satellites, however, is a brand-new song. The Irish alternative pop band is simply doing lovely music – I really like this one.

Blackrox & Be One – Love

This one is an electronic pop release. It is the first song released by Blackrox & Be One on their new label. Unfortunately, I could not find too much bio about the two acts.

Ennio – Strategie

Ennio is an artist who is originally from Munich. In case you feel that the voice is familiar to you – he also did music under the artist name Emotional Club. The song is a lovely modern German pop track.

Noonoouri feat. Enisa – Up All Nite

Up All Nite already sounds like the perfect dancefloor track. Noonouri is an artificial character, who is even used as a model. She even presented one of Pamela Reif’s fitness workouts already. Cool sound.

Myller – Fiesta

Myller is the artist name of German artist Lukas Müller. He is from Gießen in Hesse, Germany. The song is a modern good-mood pop track – which is by the way featuring Ford’s compact car model. .

Propaganda – They Call Me Nocebo

You can definitely call Propagnda legends of the German electronic music scene. The Dusseldorf act did release a seven track album earlier this year. This song, however, is a new one. Typical Propaganda sound with a modern touch. The singer in this track is Thunder Bae, by the way.

Querbeat – OK Ciao

It is not too far from Düsseldorf to Bonn, where the 13 member band Querbeat has originally been founded. OK Ciao is a lovely new song, which is made to party and dance. The references to We built this city are funny.

Reyas – Storm Around

Reyas is a singer-songwriter nowadays living in Berlin. Storm Around is the debut single of the artist, who grew up in a German small town, but then studied in Essen and New York.  He has also been active as a musical artist.

Julie Faith – How I felt about you

Julie Faith is a 16 year young artist from Vienna, Austria. She already started writing songs at the age of seven. How I felt about you is her second single release.

Leif Vollebekk – Southern Star

I featured quite a lot of German artists this week. After Austrian Julie Faith, this artist is originally from Ottawa. However, Canadian Lef Vollebekk is nowadays living in Montreal. He just announced his fifth studio album overall. Revelation will be released on 27th September 2024. He is playing piano, guitar, bass, harmonica, synth and accordion on it. The very personal Southern Star feels very promising towards this release.

MJ Lenderman – She’s Leaving You

MJ Lenderman is an alternative rock singer songwriter from Asheville in North Carolina. He started to release music in 2017. However, the pandemic felt to boost his creativity – there have been quite a lot of new songs during that time. His album Fireworks will be released on 6th September 2024, he will present the songs on a European tour in November 2024.
