The Quality Hotel View is one of those hotels, which I simply wanted to have as a hotel review on Flyctory.com. Even though I had so many events next to it and love the city of Malmö, I just hadn’t made it to stay there so far. After my trip to the Faroe Islands, I had an overnight transfer at Copenhagen Airport (CPH) and made use of the opportunity. Here is my review from Southwest Sweden.

 

Quality Hotel View – Location & Access

The Quality Hotel View is located in Hyllie, a borough of Malmö. The hotel is located right at the Hyllie train station. A key feature for its popularity is that it is right across the square from Malmö Arena, a 13,000 capacity multi-purpose venue. In very short walking distance, there is also the large shopping mall Emporia, which is also open on Sundays (10:00 to 20:00 daily). Apart from the services offered in the mall, there are numerous small restaurants, shops and bars around the square where the hotel is located.

Hyllie station is the pulse of this small commercial area. If you travel North East, you are just minutes away from Trangeln and Malmö Central and are thus in the city very quickly. However, the Quality Hotel View is also a great option as an airport hotel. Hyllie is the first train stop after crossing the Öresund Bridge from Denmark in Sweden. Thus, it is just one stop away with the Öresundstag from the airport. You can also go to Gothenburg, Karlskrona or Kalmar from there. Very often, the train ticket price compensates for the higher hotel costs in the neighboring country. There is also a parking garage, making the hotel an option for car travellers as well. However, the parking fees are rather high in that area.

 

Quality Hotel View – The Room

I had one night at the hotel in October 2025, Saturday to Sunday. The flexible rate for a standard double room was 979 SEK, roughly 89 EUR. The room had a basic, typically Scandinavian design, but overall a nice size. Especially in front of the connection door to the next room, there was sufficient space for major suitcases. Additionally, the work desk / table had a good size and was very helpful for my website work. The room had a nice distribution of power outlets as well. The view was on a commercial building right opposite and thus not really appealing.

The design of the shower bathroom was in line with the main hotel room. There were amenities in dispensers. Overall, the bathroom had sufficient space and also offered sufficient storage space for your toiletries. Like the whole hotel room, the bathroom felt very well maintained and was clean.

 

 

Quality Hotel View – Breakfast

Breakfast is always complimentary when you stay at the Quality Hotel View. The breakfast room is rather large and located close to the reception on the ground floor. The style of the breakfast is a typical Scandinavian buffet, featuring warm and cold items. It is not the poshest option you can get, but absolutely fine. The buffet maintenance (e.g. cleaning and refilling) worked fine – some items took a bit long to be available again.

 

Quality Hotel View – Services

The receptionist was exceptionally friendly at check-in. I generally liked the service and the staff in the Malmö Hotel. The WiFi connection in the hotel worked very well, too. The hotel does run a gym. Unfortunately, I did not know that it is not operating 24/7 and thus just went there after closing. As said, the hotel has direct access to a parking garage underneath the square. It is public parking, though, so that there are (for example) no in and out privileges. Please note that despite this place is a Quality Hotel and can be booked at Choice Hotels, it belongs to the Nordic Strawberry hotel group. Thus, you cannot collect Choice Hotels status nights in there, for example.

 

Quality Hotel View – My View

The Quality Hotel View is an absolutely fine city hotel style choice. The key striking argument to go for it is its location, though. No matter if you want to explore Copenhagen, Malmö or need an airport hotel, the hotel is a good choice. Furthermore, the adjacent shopping mall and the stores around are very practical for travelers. The value for money is good as well. Thus, I really like this place.
