Flyctory.com Cons

  • Limited service and food

Returning from the Swedish Floorball Finals in April 2025, I chose a Eurowings flight from Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN). While the airlines used to operate from other terminals of the airport, they then departed from the C-Gates at Terminal 5. Thus, it was a nice opportunity to check out a new lounge for me me, the Pearl Lounge at that gate, which is operated by Menzies. Here is my lounge review.

Pearl Lounge ARN T5C – Location & Access

Pearl Lounge at Arlanda Airport (ARN) Terminal 5C is located opposite of gate C37. Especially if you want to shop at the major duty-free before (as I did), the walk there is quite a bit of a nightmare. The area is under refurbishment and you should easily count for some 15 to 20 minutes and a lot of steps (some walkways did not work) between security control and the lounge and gates. Terminal 5C also has a dedicated security checkpoint, but it is not too well signed, so that I felt it is tricky to find it. The lounge is located a level above the gate area. You may either use a not that inviting staircase or an elevator up there.

You can visit the lounge daily from 6:30 to 20:30. Multiple airlines operating from C-Gates (the former Terminal 4) are contracted to it for their frequent flyers and premium cabin passengers. In addition, the Pearl Lounge also accepts typical lounge passes and grants access through selected credit cards.

Pearl Lounge ARN T5C – Atmosphere

The lounge in fact consists of two rooms. The reception desk area has a couple of seats with tables and also features the buffet and bar. The rear room is significantly larger. It does not feel overwhelmingly posh, but does have a couple of different seat options. If you are sitting close to one of the walls or windows, there are also power outlets (European style) available. A really nice feature of the lounge is wide window front. At the time of visiting you are rather exploring the constructions due to the airport upgrade, but I guess it will offer some better views very soon. My flight was on a Sunday morning, so that it has not been too crowded.

Pearl Lounge ARN T5C- Food & Drink

I visited the lounge during the later morning hours, so that there was still breakfast service. The selection was not too posh, but absolutely reasonable. Beer and wine is served from the tap, as well as soft drinks. There is also a machine for hot drinks. At least during morning hours, there were no spirits. The larger room also features a coffee desk with some snacks.

Pearl Lounge ARN T5C – Services

The lounge staff was within expectations. It was not an super-friendly experience, but also not a bad one. The service in regards of cleaning the desk and maintaining the buffet was fine. You get a good WiFi connection from the airport. The lounge also offers its own toilets. There are no showers, though. As the flights from C-Gates are typically point-to-point connections within Europe, that would also not be necessary.

Pearl Lounge ARN T5C – My View

The Pearl Lounge at Arlanda Airport (ARN) Terminal 5C is adding value to your flight from these gates. 5C is definitely not the nicest part of the airport, so that I overall enjoyed my time there, having a bite and working on website contents.
