“Punk for people, who hate punk” – that’s the album title of the third album by the German band Soko Linx. I just could not ignore an album with this title, which is Punk für Leute, die Punk haszen (with an intentional misspelling) in German. The band released it on 7th August 2026.

 

Soko Linx – About The Artists

Soko Linx (also spelled SOKO LiNX) is a bad from Leipzig, Germany, which has been founded there in 2019. They do a mixture of punk rock with rap and electronic elements. The trio works under artist names, SiKO LONX, OXON KiLS and NiXS KOOL. They typically use masks on stage. The incorrect “sz” in album titles is part of their signature. For example, their 2022 debut album is named Auf die Fresze. Fertig. Los!.

 

Soko Linx – Punk für Leute, die Punk haszen – Track by Track

The fifteen song album lasts 37 minutes.

1. Ist das schon Mainstream?

The first minute of the album is some sort of intro track. However, Ist das schon Mainstream? (“Is this already mainstream?”) is also in fact a very short song with a proper chorus. Sounds promising, but – unfortunately – it is over after about a minute.

2. Stein des Anstoszes

The second song does not take that much longer. Stein des Anstoszes lasts less than two minutes. Nonetheless, it is a cool and straight punk rock song, which spreads a lot of fun.

3. Gewaltenteilung

In Gewaltenteilung the band also introduces electronic sounds and thus rather heads to their characteristic sounds. The song deals at looking at violence differently depending where it is coming from. In German, the title typically translates to “Seperation of Powers”, but Gewalt rather deals with “violence” in its other meaning in here. I disagree to that there is “good” and “bad” violence, as they state in the lyrics – but the song itself has a nice, modern sound.

4. Zeitmanagement (ft. WIZO)

For the fourth track (“Time management”) Soko Linx collaborates with the Southern German punk rockers WIZO. The song is fast, rhythmic, and thus a real treat for punk rock fans.

5. Verkehrsteilnehmer_innen

These two minutes can be summed up very easily. Finally, the band states that once they are part of traffic, they hate all other traffic participants. The sound? Stays in the punk rock sphere, with a lot of energy. Thus, a song full of “hate” can still be fun and entertaining.

6. Jetzt bitte keine Neiddebatte!

With Jetzt bitte keine Neiddebatte! (“Now, please no discussion about inequality”), the band presents their first song with more present rap elements. However, the chorus of the song is rather melodic, I also like the groove of it.

7. Feuer, Pfeife, Reminiszenz

I feel that Feuer, Pfeife, Remiszenz is one of the best songs in which Soko Linx mixes electronic and punk elements. It leads to a very entertaining song with a strong message.

8. Nur zu Besuch

Immer wenn wir Euch besuchen, fühlen wir uns grenzenlos (“Always when we visit you, we feel limitless”). The song deals with police violence. I just cannot agree to the way the song is describing police work.

9. Hotel Astoria

Hotel Astoria deals with mass tourism, its impact, but also the carelessness of some travelers. The song again comes with the nice drive, which also feel in other songs of the record. I feel that their message in this one is a bit weaker and less straight though.

10. Alles ist politisch

Alles ist politisch (“Everything is political”) – who could think differently if you listened to Punk für Leute, die Punk haszen so far? The song has a touch of synth pop, the beginning even reminds of 1980’s pop tracks. The song states that everything you do can be seen from a political-social perspective. Not only due to the different sound, it is one of the most present ones of the album.

11. Kein Kompliment (ft. The Dead End Kids)

The Dead End Kids are a glamour punk band from Leipzig and Dresden. They are collaborating with the Leipzig band for Kein Kompliment. Not only due to the guest band’s singer Fatima, the song has a quite unique sound in the context of the record. A bit of pop, a touch of rap – this collaboration leads to a good listen.

12. Hyperstimulation

“Do you already feel it, the hyperstimulation?” – that’s the key phrase of the twelfth song. Electronic sounds, between rather relaxed vibes in the stanzas to a very present chorus, dominate this track. You simply cannot deny that this one is catching. And you might also dance to the beat of the song, if you like.

13. Kleiner Demokrat, was nun

Back to rock power, back to punk, back to fast beats – that’s Kleiner Demokrat, was nun (“Small democrat, what now?”). The song deals with nationalist violence and struggle of many people how to do deal with it. A (stereo)typical punk rock song, which is still fun.

14. Blüten

With 3:30 minutes, the penultimate one Blüten (“Blossoms”) is the longest song of the album. It comes in the style of a melancholic ballad, which has a some more rocking elements as well. A really nice one.

15. KI macht jetzt Kunst

The album closes with KI macht jetzt Kunst – “AI is now doing art”. That already tells you what the song is about. In line with that, the song is rather heading to very eletronic sounds, which here and there are pushed towards the artificial side. Soko Linx did very well in here.

First of all, I have to repeat that there are a few songs, which are pushing their lyrics too hard on this album. Without those, though, Punk für Leute, die Punk haszen is a really nice album. It deals with typical punk topics, but also touches very different ones – like in the chucker-out. Thus, I overall really like it.
