Walking Through Caesars Palace Las Vegas (Pictured Story)

Almost 4,000 hotel rooms, located right at the Strip – the Caesars Palace is undoubtedly one of the most famous casinos in Las Vegas – and likely even of the world. The casino opened in 1966 and is still – after a couple of renovations – one of the most iconic place in that city. I have visited it (again) in December 2023 and take you there in my Pictured Story.

Caesars Palace – Location & Traffic

Caesars Palace is located right at the South Las Vegas Boulevard, also known as the Strip. Politically, it is located in Paradise, Nevada. It is a huge complex of several buildings. The neighboring places feel like a “Hall of Fame” of Las Vegas attractions. The Mirage is in the North of Caesars Palace, the Belagio is South of it. On the opposite side of the Strip, there is the Flamingo and the Harrah’s.

You typically walk in or take one of the parking garages when you are in Las Vegas. As practically all Las Vegas casinos, the Caesars Palace is open 24/7. The shopping mall The Forum Shops at Caesars is opening 10:00 to 21:00 Sunday to Thursday and closes at 22:00 Friday and Saturday. The Las Vegas shuttle bus DEUCE stops right in front of the casino.

Views of Caesars Palace & Casino

The first snaps I share with you are giving you some views of the buildings. The Roman Empire-themed casino is truly impressing. The scenery is especially catching during night time. The large venue of the casino, The Colosseum Theater at Caesars Palace is one of the most striking parts of the “skyline” of Caesars Palace. Especially the level of details with countless pillars and statues is amazing.

The interior of the casino is just in line with that style. The first pictures you see, for example, are one of the main entrance halls of the place. The decoration is posh. Even though it is all made up and artificial, it just feels a bit of Roman and like being in historic Italy. As said, I visited the casino in December, so that you will also find some Christmas decoration in the pictures.

Views of The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace

The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace are the shopping mall of the casino. It is an indoor mall, designed like an Italian city. The sky you see in the pictures is artificial. There are a lot of historic-style ornaments, so that the atmosphere in the mall is amazing. Due to the current exchange rate to the US Dollar, the mall as such is not that attractive to European tourists, but it is definitely lovely to stroll through it and enjoy the atmosphere.

Fall of Atlantis

A large plaza is featuring the show Fall of Atlantis. It is shown a couple of times a day. The show is driven with visual effects on the screen, fire and ice effects as well as mechanic puppets. The show is very popular and you should arrive some 20 minutes before to have a good position to see how. Even though it does have a nice choreography, it does feel a bit of outdated.

Caesars Palace – Services

In the casino and in the mall area, there are numerous shops and restaurants. The main directions are given quite clearly. Like in many casinos, there are no clocks and the routes to get out are not that transparent. Finally, there are of course all kinds of game if you enjoy gambling. If you want to play at machines, I recommend to watch some videos about the games before. In German, I for example recommend the YouTube channel of Rene Meinert.
