Flyctory.com Pros

  • Very nice car
  • Overall, smooth processes

Flyctory.com Cons

  • No car return protocol

In order to cover the Rytiri Kladno home match in early January 2025, I needed a transport from Prague Airport (PRG) to the suburb of the Czech capital. A taxi might have been the cheapest option for the relatively short distance, but I rather went for a rental car. This also allowed me exploring the area around. The rental has been with a local provider, RENTplus. Here is my review.

RENTplus Prague Airport (PRG) – The Rental

I had a one day rental with RENTplus in early January 2025, Friday to Saturday. The car was booked via a travel agency and was based on a non-public rate. I had booked a car in the Volkswagen Up small car class and was quite surprised about the rather major Hyundai Bayon I received.

RENTplus Prague Airport (PRG) – Location & Office

Prague Airport (PRG) is having a dedicated car rental facility which is located in the Premium and Comfort parking garage. From Terminal 2, where my flights were arriving and departing, there is a semi-covered walkway. From Non-Schengen Terminal 1, you simply walk across the street. The car rental facilities are located on the ground floor, while the cars are parked one level above. RENTplus has three offices. Apart from the Prague Airport (PRG) location, there is also a Prague Downtown location and one at Brno Airport (BRQ).

RENTplus Prague Airport (PRG) – Receiving The Car

The check-in went rather smoothly. The staff at the RENTplus desk spoke sufficient English. I had to wait for the car for some ten minutes after the formal stuff has been completed. The car rental area is well signed, the different providers have dedicated areas, which are marked with signs and numbers on the parking level. Thus, it was very easy for me to find the car and get on the road.

RENTplus Prague Airport (PRG) – Returning The Car

Similarly to receiving the car, returning it has been as easy. The signs to the rental car return are clear. There is also a petrol station in front of the airport, so that it was easy to return the car full. The rental car return has an own entrance to the garage, which is also shared with the Comfort valet parking service. You do not take a ticket, but a receptionist is asking you whether you return the car or use that service, before the gate is opened. I had a bit of problems with the signs in the garage. Nonetheless, the process was rather easy. The only thing I did not like was that I did not get a car return protocol.

The Car – Hyundai Bayon

The car provided was a Hyundai Bayon. It was absolutely fit for purpose for my rental, which just came with a 100km driving distance. I was quite surprised that the car did not have scars and marks after 45,000 km of mileage – you have that very rarely with car rentals. Overall, the Hyundai exceeded my expectation.

RENTplus Prague Airport (PRG) – My View

Overall, the rental with RENTplus at Prague Airport (PRG) has been a really nice experience. There were some delays at check-in and no return protocol. On the very positive side was the car, which was in a much better condition than I expected. Thus, I was absolutely pleased with their performance.
