Flyctory.com Songs Of The Week (week of 10th October 2025)

I am still on the Faroe Islands, briefly before I am about to leave my favorite islands. There is also a Faroese artist in my release radar, but also a bunch of other nationalities and styles represented. The leading song this time is by a German band. With 16 new songs featured, the post is comparably voluminous.

This post contains quite some songs which were geo-blocked on YouTube, while I have been abroad. I might replace some music video streams once I am at home again.

Cosby – Regret It

The Munich pop band Cosby became better known when they enrolled to represent Germany at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest. They have been featured in my Songs of the Week multiple time. This time, they are on the top of my list.

Lavina – Never Be The Same

Lavina (Hope) is a German artist, who was born in Italy and grew up in the United Kingdom. She already had some success as a guest musician, e.g. in Borderline with Ely Oaks. This week she solo-released this catching pop track.

Kati K – Jetzt schreibst Du Ihr

With the single release Jetzt schreibst Du Ihr (“Now, you are writing her”), Kati K is also announcing her new EPVon Herzen will be released on 28th November 2025. The song has a lot of potential to be absolutely successful.

No Angels – I still believe

Being the winner of the German 2000 TV talent show Popstars, the No Angels are active since a quarter of a decade now. Apart from the release of Vanessa Petruo and a hiatus by two of the members, they are still active nowadays in the same lineup. And they are doing lovely songs, like their new emotional I still believe. To me, there are some Christmas vibes in this one already.

Marianna Winter ft. Ragnar Finsson – Let Me Love You

Marianna Winter is a US-American and Faroese artist. Being born in Los Angeles and raised on the Nordic Islands, which is working towards her debut album, which is scheduled for release in 2026. Here is her new single, which she recorded with her (Faroese) countryman Ragnar Finsson.

Roe Byrne – At Least I Tried

Another beautifully gentle release this week is At Least I Tried by Roe Byrne. He is a young Irish singer-songwriter, who nowadays lives in Berlin. A beautiful track, which describes a breaking up relationship, despite having put a lot of effort into it beforehand.

Masie Peters – Audrey Hepburn

Masie Peters released two songs in parallel this week, You You You and Audrey Hepburn. I significantly enjoying this one more, even though it is a bit of a “B-side” track. A great track by the British singer-songwriter.

Sotiria – Rubinrot

Sotiria is a German pop-rock artist, who is typically rather releasing darker songs. The former Eisblume singer and native Berlin artist has been featured multiple times in my Songs of the Week already. A great song by the 38 year old musician.

Safiya – Lass Los

A similar name, but a very different style. The German-Turkish artist Safiya was born in Gaziantep, but grew up in Germany. Her new song Lass Los is a lovely schlager-pop release.

Stefanie Hertel – Rettungsgurt

I was a bit worried about German schlager artist and More Than Words member Stefanie Hertel, when she had to cancel a few shows due to health issues. She is fine again – and releases her new schlager track Rettungsgurt. A catching rhythmic one.

Mariella Milana – Kopfkino

Mariella Milana’s Kopfkino (which literally translates to “Head Odeon”, meaning something like “vivid mental images”) is the third schlager song on my list this week. A rather traditionally produced schlager by the Cologne artist, which simply caught me.

Jack Savoretti – Do It For Love

The London-origin singer-songwriter is especially successful in his home country. Two of his albums, the 2019 Singing to Strangers and the 2021 Europiana, topped the domestic charts. Songs like his new one, Do It For Love, make it easy to understand why British listeners love him. Next year, he will celebrate his 20th anniversary as a professional musician.

Ian Hooper – I’ll Wait For You

With I’ll Wait For You, Mighty Oaks frontman Ian Hooper appears in my Songs of the Week the fifth time overall. In fact, he is a US-American artist. As both of his parents spoke German, he did so as well and gained quite some popularity in Germany. I really like his folk-pop style.

Picture This – Yours Forever

The Irish alternative pop band Picture This have already appeared multiple times in this Flyctory.com category. While any of their four albums so far at least placed second in their home country charts, they just cannot connect to that in other countries. Maybe Yours Forever changes that.

Joyce Manor – Well, Whatever It Was

The new song by the US American punk rock band Joyce Manor barely missed to be on the top of my list. As I sort all other tracks by genre and create a “plot” rather by (my) popularity, the trio from Greater Los Angeles is rather at the end of my this week’s list. Nonetheless, I really love this one. The track also teases their new album I Used To Go To This Bar, which is scheduled for release in late January 2026. On 16th October 2025, they kick off a brief European tour in Munich.

Danko Jones – Diamond In The Rough

Not only by the title, Danko Jones’ rock track Diamond In The Rough is the roughest listen this week.  In November 2025, the power rock trio will release their new album Leo Rising. Almost in parallel, the Toronto power rock trio will kick off their European tour.
