by After the Netherlands had practically made their way into the Place 5 match beating Hungary, somehow the same match-up followed in the second group at the WFCQ in Italy. The host faced France – the winner would likely have the chance to get the ticket to Czechia. Here are my match facts.

Italy – France – Match Facts
Italy took control of the match early and also profited by a goal by Sira Raimann after 95 seconds. France played a very solid defense, though, with scattered attacks. Nonetheless, it was Simona Chinotti who scored the second goal of the match after 18 minutes. When Marta Pelliccioni raised the score to 3-0 in the middle of the second period, it felt a bit lie a pre-decision. French hopes came up when Pauline Meseust closed up the score in the 49th minute. However, two quick Italian goals gave the decision. The last two goals, including an empty-netter in the 55th minute were scored by Isabella Chopard, who gave Italy a deserved and clear victory.
