He’s an artist molded by red dirt, grunge, nostalgia, melody, and the raw spirit of vintage rockhis own website states about Austin Meade. With Almost Famous he is releasing his fifth studio album overall. I had a listen to the 7th November 2025 publication.

Austin Meade – About The Artist

Austin Meade is a US-American artist who was born n 1994 in Texas. He is mixing country rock with hard rock elements. Before his musical career he also worked as a drum teacher in the School of Rock program. Some bios state his 2019 album Waves as his debut album. However, there is also a 2014 release, Chief of the Sinners. There are two additional studio album releases, Black Sheet (2021) and Abstract Art of an Unstable Mind (2022). Meade’s biggest song so far was a duet with Koe Wetzel, Happier alone (2021).

Austin Meade – Almost Famous – Track by Track

The ten track album lasts 34 minutes.

1. Almost Famous

Released in June 2025, Almost Famous has been the first song shared from his new album. The title track is also opening this record. The fast drumming in the stanzas lead to an interesting speed vibe, while the pre-chorus slows down the listen again and therefore creates nice rock vibes. The chorus even feels rather slack. This overall leads to a very interesting listen.

2. Bad Days

A voicemail-alike message (I better don’t quote it) opens another single release, Bad Days. The song is more constant in its style. The stanzas do spread some country rock vibes, while the chorus leads to a darker and harder sound. Even though Meade is taking the listener through different kinds of mood in this song, the storytelling feels relatable.

3. Numb Me Nostalgic

Two rather short songs, both less than three minutes long, follow next. Numb Me Nostalgic feels like a very modern alternative rock track. Especially the chorus stays in your mind again. The song has a really good energy and vibe.

4. Bubblegum And Cigarettes

The next one is about Bubblegum And Cigarettes. The song welcomes the listener with some powerful riffs. However, the stanza thereafter is defined by fast lyrics and groovy bass vibes. The chorus is again rather in alternative rock style and strikes with a catching melody.

5. Damn Or Don’t

The fifth song comes with a very similar. The pre-chorus of Damn Or Don’t is a key catching part of the track. The bridge features a nicely rocking instrumental solo. Thus, the song comes with a nice variety, which finally leads to a really interesting listen.

6. Civil War

The series of songs in the alternative rock sphere with a touch of hard rock continues with Civil War. The song is rather straight, there are not too many atmospheric diversions. Thus, I am sure that this song will be on the list of favorites of some listeners.

7. She Loves Me Not

After a couple of harder rocking songs, She Loves Me Not‘s first moments rather remind of modern country songs. The closer the song gets towards the first chorus, the more it develops towards a nice country rocker. Even though Meade later presents some other musical influences as well – this one catches my country music soul quickly.

8. Honey Do Ya

The eighth song of Almost Famous is another previously released song. With clear country rock vibes, Honey Do Ya nicely fits to its predecessor. The song feels a bit more rocking than the song before. It is definitely staying in your mind again. I love this kind of recording by the Texan artist.

9. Bottle You Up

Bottle You Up could be a perfect title for a country music party track. The song does have some party vibes and is a good sing along in the chorus. However, the track is definitely back into the rock spheres. It even has a slightly dark touch.

10. Like Father Like Son

The press kit of the album states that the chucker-out traces a generational through-line from his grandfather to his newborn baby. It is definitely a special song with a strong emotional touch. The country music vibes are more present in this song again as well.

Austin Meade – Almost Famous – My View

I really like the versatility of Austin Meade’s 2025 album. However, the range of tunes from country music vibes to hard rock might also reduce the set of potential listeners. Especially if you like country rock and don’t need country vibes in any of the tracks, Almost Famous is a very solid choice for you.
