While I typically prefer Hilton Hotels, I had the last night of my March 2022 trip with the Pittsburgh Penguins in a different location. The Comfort Inn Nashville – Opryland Area just came with an unbeatable price (at good reviews), so that I really was curious about it. Here is my review of the hotel.

Comfort Inn Nashville – Opryland Area – Location

As the name is suggesting, the Comfort Inn is located in the Opryland Area. Thus, it is just about a mile or two away from the Grand Ole Opry (where I visited a show and the VIP Circle Room the same evening). The area features a couple of other hotels, bars with stages and also some attractions, like the Opry Mills Mall with the Madame Tussauds outlet, the Cooter’s Place and some dining options with stages where you can enjoy live music.

The public transport options in Nashville are generally limited. There are shuttle bus services to the city and the the Opry Mills Mall. However, I would recommend to explore Nashville by car or to stay in a slightly more central area and commute with Uber and other ride-share services.

Comfort Inn Nashville – Opryland Area – Room

I had a standard King Room at the Comfort Inn Nashville. The flexible rate, including all taxes, was 95.84 USD. The room was actually really spacious and had a lot of space. I somehow forgot to take a picture of the work desk, which was very handy as well. A fridge and a microwave oven allows you to prepare some simple food. I also liked the comfortable sofa in the corner in the room. The sink was part of the room, so that this part was a bit of narrow. The toilet and the shower with bathtub was in a separate room, with amenities provided. The room was nicely maintained and spotlessly clean.

Comfort Inn Nashville – Opryland Area – Breakfast

Breakfast was provided in a nice breakfast room. Overall, the performance was fine, with hot drinks, juice, yogurt and a waffle machine. The fridge also gave you breakfast sandwiches, which you could heat up in the microwave oven. I would have loved to have something like toast. Maybe not the type of breakfast you  enjoy at a longer stay, but not that bad for a few days in Nashville.

Comfort Inn Nashville – Opryland Area – Service

The staff was really nice and helpful, I felt very welcome from the very beginning (even though I was slightly too early). In summer, the hotel drives an outdoor pool in front of the building. The parking lot is a bit of tricky and narrow, but had sufficient capacity during my stay. I had no issues with the WiFi, which served my needs very well.

Comfort Inn Nashville – Opryland Area – My View

Finally, there is only the breakfast, which is avoiding a very high rating of this budget stay. Still, the value for money at the Comfort Inn was excellent, I enjoyed my night there very much and would also consider it for longer stays, e.g. for the CMA Fest. The location is nice, but it is of course a bit of a drive from Central Nashville – where the hotel prices are simply ridiculous.
