This week, I am returning from a really cool Pittsburgh Penguins ice hockey trip along the East Coast. Maybe that’s one reason why the Songs of the Week this time are a bit more energetic. There were quite many releases this week, but finally, my list of songs I wanted to share is not one of the longer ones. Quality over quantity. Hope you enjoy listening to the tunes.
Stia – Ms. Perfect
Stia is an emerging artist from the German Saarland region. Her new single release Ms. Perfect is a really cool pop-rock track with a lot of energy. Hope you enjoy this song as much as I do.
Felin feat. 2 Far Out – Whatever
That was close…. I had a hard decision between Ms. Perfect and this song, Whatever by the Finnish–Swedish singer Felin. For this track, she 1994-born artist teamed up with the Swedish pop punk band 2 Far Out. The song is a great blast
Picture This – Parked Car Conversations
Three weeks before Picture This release their album Parked Car Conversations, they share the title track of the album with their fans. The release by the Irish indie pop-rock band definitely sounds promising.
Astrid Pflaum – Ka Prada
I just cannot deny a certain crush on songs performed in Southern German / Austrian dialect. This time, I share the cool pop song by Austrian artist. The track is criticizing being too focused on luxury – finally love is what counts, according to the artist.
Beren Olivia – She’ll Be Dancing
British-American alt-pop artist Beren Olivia released a new single this Friday. The song is teasing the upcoming EP If We’re Being Honest, which will be released in mid May 2024.
Kery Fay – Honest
Kery Fay is representing the dance-pop genre in my release radar this week. The pop artist from Hamburg, Germany, already had some major international gigs. The largest one has likely been the 2019 New Year’s Eve Party in Berlin, where she presented her music in front of roughly one million people.
Arrie – Dreamer
18 year old Arrie is another Austrian artist who I feature this week. He already gained some popularity in his home country. The emotional Dreamer should allow him to push for a wider audience.
X Ambassadors – Smoke on The Highway
The US-American alternative rockers released this song as a single, in parallel to their new album Townie. Unfortunately, they will (so far) only tour North America.
