For the last night of my Infosys Hall of Fame Open 2024 trip, I had originally booked one night at a Best Western in Waltham, West of Boston. However, as the price was better and I also preferred the location, I rather late opted to move to the Hampton Inn Boston/Braintree, located South of the Massachusetts metropolis. Here is the review of my stay.

 

Hampton Inn Boston / Braintree – Location

Braintree is a city in Massachusetts South of Boston. The hotel is  located right at the I-93. Nonetheless, the hotel is rather quietly located. Right around the hotel, there are not too many services. However, close to the Interstate exit, there are numerous stores and restaurants, including a major mall. The travel distance to the city center of Boston is about 11 miles. Typical travel times range between 15 and 30 minutes, depending on the congestion.

Regarding the traffic connections, the Hampton Inn Boston/Braintree is a car location. There are no public transport options around. The hotel offers complimentary self-parking.

 

Hampton Inn Boston / Braintree – Room

I had a one night stay at the Hilton Group hotel in July 2024, Sunday to Monday. The prepaid rate was 125.18 USD for a Double Queen Room. The room had a characteristic size, following the rather traditional Hampton room design. This included the separate work desk table. Especially as this was my last night in the United States, I liked that there was a rack for my suitcase and space on the additional bed. The number and distribution of power sockets was absolutely fine. At the work desk, though, there were just outlets at the bottom of the lamp. The featured a fridge and microwave oven, which I generally feel being very favorable.

The North American bathtub and shower bathroom was absolutely fine in size. In general, I like the wide space next to the sink, which allows to store your toiletries. As you see on the pictures, there was a mixture of amenities in dispensers and an individual soap bar. Like the entire hotel room, the cleanliness and level of maintenance in the bathroom was absolutely fine.

 

Hampton Inn Boston / Braintree – Breakfast

I liked the breakfast room in the lobby of the hotel in Braintree. The breakfast performance was absolutely within expected range. There was the typical selection of items at the Hampton Inn. The maintenance of the buffet worked out very well.

 

Hampton Inn Boston / Braintree – Service

Check-in and check-out at the Hampton Inn Boston / Braintree worked out well. I also did not have any WiFi issues. It also drives a comparably nice gym and an also comparably large indoor pool, which also features a separate whirlpool.

 

Hampton Inn Boston / Braintree – My View

The Hampton Inn gave me a good service towards the end of the trip. If you don’t need a location which is closer to Boston city center and maybe connected to public transport, it is a really nice choice. The nearby mall makes your stay very convenient.
