Country Music Playlist Update Log (27th December 2020)
Merry Christmas everybody! Hope you had a great time with your beloved ones and your family. I have a couple of days off in the sun – but the playlist and the website continues with updates, of course. A quite interesting mix of different songs this weekend – there is even one Christmas track (Nashville style…) in the additions…
- Break Your Heart by Nikita Skogen
The country music angel from Norway – Nikita Skogen, who I recently had a Spotlight interview with – released this single already quite a while ago. Now it finally makes it to the playlist. God jul!
- Like A Hit To Me by Troy Kemp
I loved Troy Kemp’s Soundtrack, which has to leave the playlist due to this new single, Like A Hit To Me. Well written country music again.
- Christmas Spirits by Jake Owen
Ain’t that a straight country Christmas track? Jake Owen does this “festive” song, Tennessee style, just briefly before Santa’s party. Cheers!
- Girl I Used To Know by Colton Rice
This Colton Rice single is one of the few new releases of the week – but I really loved listening to it. Hope you enjoy it too!
- Mama Drank by Jessi Alexander
I had this song in my Country Music Picks in January 2020 already and absolutely loved it – as it just does not make it into my best song list 2020, which I will release during this week, I felt Jessi Alexander deserves the final spot this week with that deep and impressive song.

Country Music Playlist Update Log (20th December 2020)
Santa Clause is coming to town – we are approaching the Christmas season. I listened into a couple of new releases, also on the country music side – but there was unfortunately no EP or album I felt is really worth sharing. I feel this could be a good season for upcoming artists – but they do not make us of it (so maybe I am wrong…). On the singles side, though, there are a couple of really interesting new tracks. Here is my selection for 20th December 2020.
- This Year Sucks by Twinnie
Ain’t that a typical Twinnie statement? The straight and honest British country-pop lady released this clear statement just a couple of days before Christmas? Ain’t she that right? I definitely miss seeing her on and off stage.
- Wish You Would’ve Cheated by Lexie Hayden
This is my favorite track of Lexie Hayden’s EP You Heard Right, which she released on 4th December already. I just did not make it to give her the well-deserved spot in the playlist before today.
- Small Towns by Donny Lee
Small Towns by Alberta artist Donny Lee was one of the last new releases of the week I listened to at all. Having a 1980’s vibe from my Gran Canaria trip somehow made me fall in love with the song – it somehow reminds me quite much of these good, old times. Nice tune, indeed. A song which I wanted to add last week already, but then had to postpone it in favor of a Charley Pride one.
- Things by Kaylee Rose
A new song by Kaylee Rose, who does her first appearance in my major playlist. Howdy was already a really fun track – this one is again a really good one by the Nashville artist.
- Tennessee by Katrina Burgoyne
Katrina Burgoyne is originally from New South Wales in Australia, but is now living in Nashville. She already had quite some success with some of her initial singles – and Tennessee is indeed a real beauty again.

Country Music Playlist Update Log (13th December 2020)
Club 100 – after I removed record breaking Six Feet Apart by Luke Combs last week from the playlist last week, I decided to replace the lovely Hoodie by Cassadee Pope (from he amazing Rise and Shine album) this week – another track which has been in the playlist for over 100 days. Apart from that, I returned from a lovely and sunny trip to Gran Canaria / Grand Canary – there will be the first postings in the travel section soon. Quite a lot of interesting music this week – I expected significantly less non-Christmas related songs this week. Hope you like my selection.
- Old Gin by Jennifer K. Austin
Ir reviewed Jennifer K. Austin’s album Journey already on 1st December 2020. The playlist update just did not have a free slot that week – so we had to wait for the interesting artist one more week. Good track.
- O Holy Night by Jillian Cardarelli
I really love Jillian Cardarelli and her music. She recently sang Oh Holy Night at the National Christmas Tree Lightning. One week later, she makes it to the Flyctory.com Country Music Playlists with that song – an almost as big success for the wonderful artist 😉
- Whatever You Do by Halle Kearns
Halle Kearn’s EP Finally is something like the surprise of the week. Five track, released on her birthday – I finally could have opted for any of them, really a great EP. I went for Whatever You Do.
- Freedom To Me by Bret Mullins
There is a lot of modern country and country-pop in my playlist typically. The more I was happy to have some traditional Texas Country tunes in the blog again – and Bret Mullins’ album Kiss The Girl features some really nice songs. One of my favorites is Freedom To Me.
- Kiss an Angel Good Mornin’ by Charley Pride
Just when I wanted to update the playlist, I ran into the message that Charley Pride, the first Afro-American country superstar, has passed away, due to Covid-19 complications. Here is one of his biggest hits, Kiss an Angel Good Mornin’

Country Music Playlist Update Log (6th December 2020)
Thank you Luke Combs. This weekend, I will be to my first intercontinental trip since March 2020 (it is “just” Canary Islands, but at least they belong to Africa geographically). I initially wanted to keep Six Feet Apart in the list until Covid-19 limitations are over. But this may take so many more months that I felt to say thanks to my unofficial pandemic cheer-up song after 218 days in the playlist. I had a lot of good music and two good Spotlight interviews this week so that I even had to push some songs to the next weeks (where I anyway feel, releases will become more and more sparse). Five great new songs from my point of view – hope you agree!
- Honey by Russell Dickerson
Russel Dickerson’s Southern Symphony was definitely a lovely country music listen this week. Honey was my favorite track on the album – so I decided to share it with you.
- Sober Me by Tristan Cole & Elise
Moving from electronic dance pop rather towards the country-pop direction – the interesting interview with Tristan Cole was definitely a good one and great listen. Sober Me is definitely heading towards the buckles & boots genre.
- Cope by Cody Weaver
Cody Weaver’s Southern Noise was definitely a lovely listen – so glad that I spotted his music and could review the EP. Again, I went for my favorite track, Cope.
- Leave The Radio On by Jake Morrell
So glad to hear new sounds by Jake Morrell – he released a new single, Leave The Radio On, this week and also teased that there is more music to come in 2021. Look forward to it.
- The Man I Am Today by Dylan Wolfe
The Man I Am Today is a new song by Illinois-origin artist Dylan Wolfe. Reviewing the new releases this week, I just felt that this song is a great fit to my playlist.

Country Music Playlist Update Log (29th November 2020)
We are finally getting closer to Christmas. The number of releases is decreasing, a lot of them are holiday-related. The latest news feel to give optimism that at least in the second half of 2021, we are able to travel again, go to (at least open air) concerts etc. Makes me feel a bit more relaxed about the following months. I will also have my first PCR in a couple of days. On the country side, I had three interesting reviews, some new releases and a Christmas posting. Thus, the five new songs were a quite straight selection.
- Diesel by Granger Smith feat. Earl Dibbles Jr.
Granger Smith released the second part of his Country Things this week. I still struggle with the concept of splitting your album in two piece and sell it separately – but at least I preferred this second set, which also included tunes by his alter ego Earl Dibbles Jr. Enjoy!
- God Made Me Right by The Highway Women
The Highway Women are a very interesting project, who – besides their music – also seem to try to support female country artists. Their recent EP The Highway unfortunately did not contain a single new song – but I still liked the EP and God Made Me Right is definitely a catching one.
- Christmas Is by Dolly Parton feat. Miley Cyrus
So many factors made Christmas Is a straight selection for this week: first of all, there is my special Country Picks Christmas edition for 2020, which I published today. The posting of course also includes a song from Dolly Parton’s A Holly Dolly Christmas 2020 holiday album (which I reviewed in September already). On the other hand, I enjoyed to review the latest album by Dolly’s goddaughter, Miley Cyrus. Plastic Hearts is such a great variety of different music styles.
- Hotel Floor by Cottonwood Crows
I originally wanted to add She hates Hank by Zach Westcott here – but his song is not on Amazon. Thus, I went for another track of the week’s new releases – Hotel Floor by Cottonwood Crows is indeed a beauty as well.
- Supernaw by Richard Lynch
I did not want to have too many Christmas tracks in the playlist – but Supernaw by Richard Lynch is such a lovely traditional country sound – it somehow gives quite a lot of winter cozyness even without praising Santa and presents.

Country Music Playlist Update Log (22th November 2020)
200! Luke Combs’ Six Feet Apart this week was the first song which stays in my playlist for more than 200 days. It is somehow “my song of the pandemic” and I just cannot remove it… Likely, it will not make it until all this is over. Nothing too special this week – happy to introduce you to five artist this week which all haven’t made it to the Flyctory.com Country Music Playlist so far – there is even a language debut in the playlist:
- Soundtrack by Troy Kemp
Soundtrack has been released a couple of weeks ago. A lovely track which is refering to a lot of big country songs. When I finally made it and published a new edition of my Country Music Picks this week, Troy Kemp and his song was part of it. Felt like finally promoting it to my “major” playlist, after it really gave me an enjoyable time in the New Country Hits one.
- Two Lane Time Machine by Clayton Smalley
I had a lot of fun listening to Clayton Smalley’s second EP Dirt Road Therapy. I especially loved the first track of the record, Two Lane Time Machine.
- Wonderful by Shannon Noll
The Australian country music scene has a lot of interesting artists – Shannon Noll definitely one of them. His most successful track What About Me has about ten million streams on Spotify only. Here is his latest single, Wonderful.
- Une derniere biere by Ghys Mongeon
I really like Canadian country – but this is the first time I added a song from Quebec to the playlist. The language is French – but the topic – a final beer – could be a Nashville one.
- Girls Like That by Diamond Dixie
Diamond Dixie are two sisters from Orlando, Gabriela and Bianca LeDuc. They publish music since 2015. Girls Like That is their new single, which they released this week.

Country Music Playlist Update Log (15th November 2020)
Sad days: I was originally scheduled to be in Dubai and report from the Expo 2020 with Flyctory.com. All travel coverages are based on previous visits – but I still have quite a backlog of visits which I can present to you, like the Guinness World Records Museum Hollywood I shared with you this week. I am sure that there will also be some country tunes in my new Songs of My Life postings – hope you enjoy Flyctory.com during these strange times.
- Feeling Like Christmas by Olivia Lane
It’s Christmas season – and the very lovely and dear Olivia Lane added her 2020 holiday tunes to the world of music. I really love Feels Like Christmas – I also recommend to have a look at the amazing music video.
- Turn Up by Easton Corbin
Easton Corbin Didn’t Miss A Beat – at least that the title of his new EP. I had a lot of fun listening to his latest tunes – and finally selected Turn Up for the playlist.
- Devil Always Made Me Think by Chris Stapleton
Chris Stapleton did the release of the week to me – his new album Starting Over is just amazing. Hard to pick a favorite track – I went for this one.
- Sober as a Drunk by Kameron Marlowe
Simply EP – the debut EP by Kameron Marlowe might be limited in its title, but is offering six amazing songs. Great EP – here is my favorite
- I Don’t Call Him Daddy by Doug Supernaw
Sad news on Friday 13th: country legend Doug Supernaw passed away after he has been diagnosed with lung and bladder cancer.

Country Music Playlist Update Log (8th November 2020)
1000 postings. Introducing the new Songs of my Life category with my feature about Hymn by Ultravox is definitely the outstanding Flyctory.com event of this week. Not too much happening on top of that, also due to the light lockdown. Musically, I just had one country music review this week – but I feel there are nonetheless five really nice and characteristic new songs in my Country Music Playlists.
- Christmas On The Radio by Runaway June
Not sure if you feel the same – but this dear, maybe due to the strange social situation, I have a much earlier and deeper desire for Christmas tracks. I reviewed Runaway June’s When I Think About Christmas already in mid-October – now it is time to add my favorite track of the album to the playlist. Merry Christmas everybody!
- Break Down Here by Julie Roberts
Like last week, I felt to add some more traditional modern country songs to the playlist. Julie Robert’s Break Down Here is a lovely early 2000’s song. Hope you like that travel back in time.
- Edge of The Earth by Caitlyn Shadbolt
Caitlyn Shadbolt’s album Stages was the only country album I reviewed this week. A really nice album – and Edge of The Earth is just the track which I feel fits best to the playlist.
- Aphrodite by Rachel Bradshaw
Scanning the new songs of this week, I felt that Rachel Bradshaw’s Aphrodite was simple one of the best releases. Interesting artist – and a good song.
- My Bar by Lauren Jenkins
I felt that I just cannot complete the 1,000 postings with my dear friend Lauren Jenkins. My Bar is in fact her most-frequently played song on Spotify. By the way, the corresponding album No Saint, which she released in early 2018 is the fourth-most read album review on Flyctory.com. Thank you, Lauren – hab Dich lieb!

Country Music Playlist Update Log (1st November 2020)
With a light Covid-19 lock-down to be happening from next week onward in Germany, I decided to go to Munich for a short trip again this weekend. I had quite a bunch of albums this weekend, but just one country album. If you miss the new Cam album – I just don’t get into her music and know that my review won’t be a fair one, so I skipped it. I still feel, it is quite a nice mix of new songs and some “classics” this time… and no Christmas tracks this time.
- American Dreamin’ by Christina Taylor
One of the artists I am really missing to listen to some new music from is Christina Taylor. To give you (and myself) some Taylor feeling, I added a “classic” one of her this week, American Dreamin’
- Kiss Me Goodbye by Eric Etheridge
Eric Ethridge’s debut album Good with Me was in fact the only country music release I have been reviewing this weekend. Here is one of my favorites on this album, Kiss Me Goodbye.
- Amazed by Lonestar
As there was so much new music the last weeks, I rarely had the opportunity to add some older songs. One band which I did not feature at all so far is Lonestar – which is really a shame. Here is one of their absolute classics, Amazed.
- Don’t Go Changing by Kip Moore
I am closing my list of song additions with two new song releases. The first one, Don’t Go Changing by Kip Moore, was likely on the new-releases-I-have-to-listen-to bucket list for this weekend for many of you. Good one.
- Pond Fishing by Davisson Brother Band
I have to admit that I did not know this West Virginia band at all before I scanned this weekend’s new songs. Quite a unique style, powerful and really a cool listen!

This week, I was majorly involved into tennis, with two Indian players competing at the bett1HULKS tournament in Cologne. Glad to have some blogging distraction – and also to use my SLR camera equipment again. Still, I had some time to listen to country music – and there are truly some interesting songs. This week, my dear friend and Flyctory.com Featured Artist Twinnie released the acoustic version of her Hollywood Gypsy album (the link refers to the original version). I did not do a separate review, but I honor this lovely release with a playlist entry.
- Windshield by Emily Rose
I ran into Emily Rose’s debut EP The Heart. A really promising artist. Windshield has been my favorite track of it, hope you like it to.
- State of Mind by DanaMaria
Finally, DanaMaria – after the great chat I had with the German country artist last week, she released her debut album Desert Diamond this Friday. Great to see that we got talents like her in Germany. I selected her hymn to Austin, Texas, where is is frequently staying and performing.
- Jingle My Bells by Cory Marks
There are so many Christmas releases, especially albums and EP that I just had to start the holiday season in a way how I like it. After the review of Who I Am in August, Cory Marks is now back with a die-hard festive country rocker. I love it!
- Ghosts by Mason & the Gin Line
There was quite a prominent list of acts with new releases this week. I finally decided to promote an act to the major playlist, of which I hardly know anything: Ghosts is just the second release of Mason & the Gin Line on Spotify – but I definitely love their style!

Country Music Playlist Update Log (18th October 2020)
The previous weeks have been really crazy regarding album releases. Also as I am spending the weekend in London – likely the last abroad trip before Covid-19 lockdown measures – I just had to skip a couple of really good publications like the albums by the Reklaws or Jamie O’Neal. Four ladies are new to the list, but Matt Stell is something like the cock in the group of hens this week.
- All In by Carolyn Miller
I absolutely love Carolyn Miller. If you want to know more about her, for example check my Spotlight Interview with her from June 2020. On Thursday she released All In – and she just hit a lovely one again.
- What Do I Do Now? by Brenna Bone
When I wrote a posting about Christina Taylor and Carolyn Miller after the 2019 CMA Fest, I also briefly met Brenna Bone at a Christina Taylor show, as the girls live together. I love Brenna’s powerful music and just felt to present you her new single, What Do I Do Now?
- Tequila Told Me To by Mira Goto
Mira Goto is something like my very personal musical discovery of the weekend. I really loved her debut EP Nobody warned Me – Tequila Told Me To might not be the most serious track, but why not having some party in here?
- Mapdot by Jess Moskaluke
Canadian Jess Moskaluke did not make it to me playlist with a solo recording so far. I urgently need to change it as I really like her music. Her new single Mapdot is really a nice one (again).
- Look at Me Now by Matt Stell
Better Than That was the very last publication I reviewed this weekend (I will publish it in a different order, though) – and Look at Me Now is the very last song of the nice EP. It is simply my favorite.

Country Music Playlist Update Log (11th October 2020)
I was quite happy that there have not been too many new country releases this week, as I am traveling through Northwestern Germany – my original trip, which would have touched the Netherlands as well, had to be altered due to Covid-19. There are still some really cool songs for my key playlist – hope you enjoy my selection of five new ones – and the 35 which rollled over from next week. The Brothers Osborne album Skeletons was something like the release of the weak. Great one – here is the title track.
- Make It Work by Ryan Laird
I had two amazing interviews in my Spotlight section this week: Last Monday, I chatted with the lovely Tori Martin (which is already in the playlist with her song Lonely Boy) – two days later, I had another great chat with the “Canadian Keith Urban”, Ryan Laird. Great guy – and a lovely recent single, Make It Work.
- Be Gentle On Yourself by Melinda Schneider
Australian Melinda Schneider released a very special EP with motivational tracks during Covid-19 times. Here is the title track to Be Gentle On Yourself.
- Fighters by Grayson Rogers & April Kry
When I scanned for new songs, I just fell in love with that great duet. Hope you enjoy it as well.
- Love Song by Austin Michael
Driven by his self-titled debut album, Austin Michael is something like the lake entry to my reviews as well as to this playlist. There were a bunch of songs which would have been suitable for the playlist – I simply went for the Love Song.

Country Music Playlist Update Log (4th October 2020)
Please wear mask, do social distancing and stay safe. Even though I had a lot of stunning music this week (including an outstanding Pop EP Dusk by mxmtoons), there feel to be much more important topics this week. I had to re-plan or cancel multiple future trips this week. Music is just a great distraction from all the Covid-19 trouble. Hope these five ones make you happy.

I added Jason Nix and his EP Money on You in my second wave of the reviews, after I scanned the new releases. Lovely EP – and a great song.
- Soapbox by Brent Cobb feat. Nikki Laine
Brent Cobb’s Keep ’em on They Toes was the first album review I released that week. Lovely listen, but this duet with Nikki Laine simply convinced me.
- Lost by Jordan Brooker
A great fusion of country and rock – Jordan Brooker’s The Troubadour’s Almanac felt to state some additional potential of the artist, but overall, reviewing the album was a lot of fun.
- Hell of a View by Eric Church
Always an honor to have this big name of the genre on my playlist. Hell of a View is the new release by Eric Church. A very good one – just as you would expect it.
- Ain’t That Lonely Tonight by Tyra Madison
Kentucky-origin artist Tyra Madison released this single this week, which simply flashed me as soon as I listened to it preparing the song selection for my two playlists. Not too surprising that I love it – it has been written by my Kentucky favorite, Carly Pearce.

Country Music Playlist Update Log (27th September 2020)
I am typically not at all a self-praising person – but checking out several attractions near Arnhem, Netherlands, I was in car quite a lot this week – and really felt how well this playlist is really reflecting my current taste of country music. Hope you like it too. The more I am happy that with Zoee, Tommy Atkins and Jillian Cardarelli, there are three artists added to the playlist, which are friends of my project. Enjoy their music (and the other music, of course, as well).
- Take Me Away by Zoee
The dear Australian artist Zoee feels to be very productive during the previous months. Her fabulous Nashville at the beginning of the year and other tracks like Songs we sing or the recent Break My Heart have been wonderful songs this year. This weekend, she released a new track, Take Me Away. I really love it – just felt I have to share it with you.
- Cinderella’s Had a Drink by Tommy Atkins
The first review this week was Kiss Me, Cowboy by Tommy Atkins. A nice EP with four tracks – but instead of the (new) title track, the review reminded me again that Cinderella’s Had a Drink is a lovely hidden gem. Hope you enjoy it, too.
- That’s Why I Love Dirt Roads by Granger Smith
The first part of his new album: Country Things, Vol. 1 is a great release by Granger Smith, no doubt. I decided to share That’s Why I Love Dirt Roads with you – beautiful track!
- Rose of Nantucket by Diana DeMuth
With her new album Misadventure Diana DeMuth gives a great statement of her wonderful musical potential. Rose of Nantucket is one of my favorites.
- Strong by Jillian Cardarelli feat. Charles Esten
I love Jillian Cardarelli and her music. Unfortunately, she is not too represented on Flyctory.com. This Friday, she released a wonderful collaboration with Charles Esten. Enjoy her new single on my playlist!

Country Music Playlist Update Log (20th September 2020)
It feels like traveling and all kinds of events will be reduced very soon again. Covid-19 cases are rising. Also my travel plans for the next weeks are mashed up again. On the music side, this week was awesome, a lot of good new music. Having a Spotlight interview episode with the lovely Emily Lockett was definitely more than due on Flyctory.com. The more, I am glad we did that this week – and that we can additionally enjoy her beautiful new single Front Porch.
- Lonely Boy by Tori Martin
Tori Martin’s new album Lucky unfortunately just consists of eight songs, but they are really lovely. I decided to go for my favorite ballad on the album.
- Listen To The Radio by Smith & Wesley
Greetings From The Land of Y’All – what an album name. The brothers Smith & Wesley are not at full speed yet – but they definitely are able to do great in the future.
- Everything I touch turns blue by Royal South
Royal South is definitely a band I do have in focus and I enjoy to follow. Glad that there is a new song by the band around Sara Beth- and it is really a great one!
- Already Been Crazy by Jesse Keith Whitley
Already Been Crazy was a song which just became very present to me when I looked for new releases. I don’t know anything about Jesse Keith Whitley, but the song is definitely a lovely one!

Country Music Playlist Update Log (13th September 2020)
I am in Munich this weekend. There have not been too many new releases this weekend after a wave so many Corona-caused delays. Next weekend will be quite packed again. However, there were quite some interesting new songs, albums and EPs – again it was rather difficult to just pick five ones which make it to the playlist. Here are my new ones:
- Where Cowboys Ride by Sarah Darling
Okay, this new entry is not at all a September 2020 song. I just had this wonderful Sarah Darling masterpiece in mind quite a lot the last weeks. One of the most wonderful songs she recorded. Hope you enjoy it, too.
- Rose by Mickey Guyton
Mickey Guyton released her beautiful EP Bridges this weekend. Six really nice songs – Rose was my favorite. Very interesting artist.
- Hey Cowboy by Van de Forst
The German country-pop artist released her first album after five years, Unconditional, I really loved it while reviewing. I went for the opening track of the album, even if it is very pop-alike, I even compared it to German Schlager. But why not having some happy, easy tunes in this selection of forty songs?
- Two Chords And A Lie by Elizabeth Cook
Elizabeth Cook’s seventh album Aftermath contains quite a variety of songs. Two Chords And A Lie – just the title is already a great teaser for this breakup song. Enjoy it.
- Hollering’ Hills by Kyle Daniel
This week, Kyle Daniel released his Digital 45, a single with two songs, This American Dream and Hollerin’ Hills. If you can name it like that, I went for the B-side. Cool song!

Country Music Playlist Update Log (6th September 2020)
I am currently traveling through Italy, writing my notes in Venice, before I am heading home. This week of country music has really been great – I could even effort to skip Tyler Rich’s album and still have a list of great publications. In addition, there are two very interesting new songs by female artists. Enjoy!
- If I was a beer by Lauren Alaina
You might not really expect a song named If I was a beer to be performed by a female artist. Lauren Alaina does it – and it is one of the most remarkable songs on her great new EP Getting Over Him. Enjoy the song – and the additional five ones on the EP as well!
- Johnny by Tennessee Jet
My review weekend started with the album The Country by Tennessee Jet. The album was thus the first Top Pick! of the weekend. Johnny is just a great one.
- BOOTS by Hardy
A Rock is the debut album by Hardy – and it is such a blast! BOOTS (yeah, all songs are written in caps…) is just a fantastic one.
- Next Girl by Carly Pearce
Coming to the new single releases. Whenever Carly Pearce is having a new song, I have to have a listen. Just love the Kentucky girl and her music. Next Girl covers her surprising split up with Michael Ray. Sad moment, great song!
- Just Like I Knew by Lauren Hall
I can’t tell you anything about Lauren Hall. Typically on Saturday mornings I prepare my New Country Hits playlist, even though the release of the update is Tuesdays. Scanning new releases, this track by Lauren Hall just gave me a blast. Sorry, Julia Cole, she kicked you out of this list of five songs…

Country Music Playlist Update Log (30th August 2020)
Quite an interesting mix of songs this weekend. I had a lot of candidates for the playlist this week, but finally went for a quite interesting mix from classic covers (Molly Tuttle) to party songs (Adam Capps). Hope you enjoy!
- Radio Cloud by Ruston Kelly
Ruston Kelly’s Shape & Destroy was the start of my review weekend. Radio Cloud is a track which just goes viral in my head – cannot get rid of it. Hope you like it to.
- The World Needs A Beer by Adam Capps
Not maybe the most sophisticated lyrics in the world of country, but I just felt to add a good mood song. Adam Capps released his new single this week – and I felt this is a perfect fit!
- Standing on the Moon by Molly Tuttle
Molly Tuttle did a really nice job with her … but I’d rather be with you cover album. Standing On The Moon is my favorite track – also the somehow most amazing one of the album, as she covering nobody but The Grateful Dead in that song. Hope you enjoy as well 🙂
- Name On It by Ryan Griffin
Ryan Griffin did great this week releasing his Name On It EP. I just felt that the title track is the best one on the whole EP.
- We Go Together Like by Abby Anderson
I just love Abby Anderson. What a friendly person, what a lovely artist. At the Berlin C2C 2019, she also won my inofficial Even Smiling All The Time When she needs to head to the Airport at 7a.m.-award. Abby released her new single this week – it is just lovely!

Country Music Playlist Update Log (23rd August 2020)
Tough times: while I am travelling in the Rotterdam / The Hague region in the Netherlands this weekend, I had nine music reviews on my list for Flyctory.com. There were some quite interesting albums this weekend – however, some might have had higher expectations from my side. Here is my selection of five new songs for the playlist.
- 20/10 TN by Tucker Beathard
The album King by Tucker Beathard was one of the best experiences of this weekend to me. 20/10 TN is a classic country lifestyle anthem and one of my favorite songs of the album
- Hallelujahville by Tim McGraw
I just had mixed feelings about the very emotional and thoughtful new album by Tim McGraw, Here On Earth. Hallelujahville is one of my favorites of the album, though.
- I Can Tell From The Way You Dance by Josh Turner
Country State of Mind was the only country album which made it to the Top Pick! rankings. There are a bunch of good solo and collaborated re-interpretations of country classics. I went for I Can Tell By The Way You Dance, which is originally performed by Vern Gosdin. Amazing one.
- Make It Easy by Kree Harrison
I was not absolutely overwhelmed by Chosen Family Tree by Kree Harrison. I even felt this album will be much stronger when I listened to the singles before. Make It Easy, however, is outstanding.
- Girls by Karissa Ella
The fifth addition to the playlist this week just fascinated me when I was already preparing for the next edition for my New Song Playlist. Just too catching to end up in my “minor” playlist.

Country Music Playlist Update Log (16th August 2020)
It feels to me that there are too many Covid-19-caused record publication delays current – I could have easily reviewed more than ten albums and EPs this weekend. The following five new additions reflect my musical week – if you miss the a song from Lindsay Ell’s amazing album Heart Theory – I already have the outstanding make you in my list – and I felt it is wrong to replace it by another track.
- Lemonade by Tiffany Johnson
I loved to chat with Tiffany Johnson in my Spotlight section. She released a new song this week – but I just love the previous single, Lemonade.
- Looking for a Lighter by Caylee Hammack
Caylee Hammack definitely published an impressive debut album, If It wasn’t for you. I just loved the story-telling of Looking for a Lighter, so I opted to add this song to the playlist.
- Local Honey by Mo Pitney
Mo Pitney Ain’t Looking Back, even though his new album mixes traditional sounds in a very modern way. There are a lot of cool songs on the album – I loved the way Local Honeyis arranged. Just a very special song.
- Under Your Spell by Eric Paslay
Eric Paslay‘s Nice Guy album was published short after the Heartbeat Higher EP. The EP tracks are the strongest ones on the album, but Under Your Spell is definitely a good one as well.
- You by Sandra North
I had three Spotlight Interviews this week – quite a lot. One of them was about Sandra North, a Swedish country artist, who moved to Los Angeles to pursue her career. Enjoy reading my chat with her – and her latest single You.
