Flyctory.com Pros

  • Nice range of songs of different decades
  • Partially very new views on legendary songs

The Frontm3n is definitely what you call a supergroup. The band members have band history in legendary acts like 10cc, The Hollies, The Sweet and others. Their seventh album Now and Then is a cover album praising six centuries of music. It has been released on 16th January 2026.

Frontm3n – About The Artists

Frontm3n is a trio consisting of the singers and guitarists Peter Howarth, Pete Lincoln and Mick Wilson. The British used to be part of Cliff Richard’s band and started to have live shows in 2016. Howarth is the frontman of The Hollies. Lincoln was singer and bassist of Sailor and The Sweet. Wilson has a long vita as well, including being singer and percussionist of 10cc. They have released six albums yet, some of them being live recordings. Especially in Germany, they are very popular for live shows. The majority of the shows of their tour in January and February are either sold out or have limited tickets.

Frontm3n – Now and Then – Track by Track

The 13 song album lasts 52 minutes.

1. Pretty Woman

The song is full of classics – and this one is indeed one of the very big hits of music history. The Frontm3n version of Roy Orbinson’s classic has an own touch, without diverting from the original too much. Catching and respectful – I really like it.

2. Rocket Man

One decade later, Elton John released Rocket Man. The cover version highly profits from having three vocalists. Thus, this version does have a bit of a kitschy touch, but also has a very unique sound. I like it.

3. Since You Been Gone

In 1976, Russ Ballard released this song, which has boosted popularity by its Rainbow version three years later. The song cannot keep up with the Rainbow version in regards of power. The vocal side is again a key driver of the Frontm3n version.

4. Does Your Mother Know

How could a cover album featuring the last six decades exist without featuring an ABBA track. The British trio defines their very own view on the Swedish classic. They make it sound like a folk-rock track. A fascinating one, which indeed works out.

5. I Was Made For Loving You

The album stays in the 1970’s and features on the biggest hard rock songs of all times. Of course, this trio does not try to level up with the rock power of Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley. Instead, there is this Americana and singer-songwriter flavor in the recording. The rock heart in me longs for harder riffs – but then I feel that this one is really awesome. So I finally put my thumbs up!

6. Maniac

The 1980’s are my favorite musical decade. Thus, I am a bit more curious about this version of the Michael Sembello classic. This version is again closer to the original again. Not the most striking or surprising cover version on the album – but it works out fine.

7. Time After Time

Cindy Lauper’s big hit is next. Her characteristic voice is replaced by three very harmonic voices. A lovely song turned into an even more catching ballad. I like it!

8. Boys Of Summer

With Don Henley’s Boys of Summer, the album reaches the heart of the 1980’s. Not that surprisingly, the trio is rather close to the original here. They have been in their comfort zone while recording this version – and I am in mine during the listen.

9. Can’t Get You Out Of My Head

With the La-la-la at the beginning of the ninth track latest, you recognize that Frontm3n jump forward 17 years in time. The Australian pop queen recorded this song originally in 2001. The stomping beat and dance pop vibes are obviously gone. Therefore, there are some Latin American vibes in this song. It feels a bit of strange at the beginning. However, the longer I listen to this one, the more I love it.

10. Times Like These

About the same time, the Foo Fighters released Times Like These. In the 2026 version, the song is a gentle ballad – a perfect song for some snuggling. Enjoy romantic feelings at this unique interpretation.

11. Don’t Fade Away

The last three songs are not covers. Each band member contributed with a song, starting with Peter Lincoln. Don’t Fade Away spreads classic rock vibes. The song nicely fits into the album.

12. Scarlet Angel

Scarlet Angel has been released before the album already. It is another song with these magical Latin American vibes. Feels like a perfect one for a long summer night. Even though it is winter now.

13. One Day

Michael Wilson’s write is closing the album. It is an almost five minute soft rock track. An harmonic song, perfect to sing along with the band on one of their many shows.

Frontm3n – Now and Then – My View

I really like the album. Here and there, Frontm3n present a very own perspective on the originals. The three originals at the end of the album don’t add too much, but they also don’t harm the spirit of Now and Then.

Favorite Song: Time After Time
